We are The Polish Pottery Outlet and made the switch to Mailchimp not so long ago. On Saturday, I sent out a notice to my "Online" Segment customers announcing that our Cyber Monday ad would be sent on Sunday, Nov. **th at noon (MST). I scheduled and sent the ad at that time. *After Cyber Monday, I learned that gmail customers received the email in their Spam folders (but not the earlier notification). They comprise almost *** of that email list. *Naturally, it had a huge effect on our Cyber Monday results. And now, I am trying to mend the relationship with those customers. *I'd like to know why this email failed to reach the inbox of our Gmail customers and what can be done to never have the situation repeat.
