I work in an office at a university and we primarily use Mail Chimp to send out our newsletter. Over the years, we had many different lists including students who graduated and their emails were not removed from our system. This resulted in several emails bouncing, and we were forced into the "double opt-in" system. I created a new sign up form for adding future subscribers, but I also wanted to revise our lists so we could operate with ONE list. I thought that after I edited the sign up form, I would be able to upload contacts to this one new list and they would automatically be sent the sign up form through Mail Chimp. In preparation of this, I deleted all the lists after exporting them. I then discovered I cannot import lists while our account is restricted by the "double opt-in" feature. As a university in the middle of course registration, we need to send out a newsletter as soon as possible, but currently have no one we can send it to. Is it possible to temporarily remove the double opt-in feature? Alternatively, can Mail Chimp send the sign up form directly, rather than through a link, social media, or QR code? We do not want to enter each contact we have individually- this would be incredibly time consuming and it would not allow us to capture demographic data.
