I took a Lyft ride on August 23rd with a driver named Jacques. The rate displayed was $31, but I was invoiced $41.80. I believe it's unjust to overcharge me without consent. I kindly ask for a $10 refund to be credited back to my initial payment method. I attempted to report the issue through the app, but it only provides automated responses with no real person to communicate with. I would be grateful for a prompt resolution. This situation is unacceptable to me.

This morning, I requested a Lyft at the Winn-Dixie on Curry Ford Road. The driver didn't arrive, canceled the ride, and charged me $5.55. Then I had to request another ride and got the same driver. It's frustrating to be charged when the driver doesn't show up. I would appreciate a refund of $5.55 to be processed promptly.

A friend booked a Lyft ride for me from Swansea, MA, to Newport, RI. Unfortunately, I left my phone in Isias' car, but despite my efforts to contact him through the Find My Device app alarm feature, he did not return. Isias apparently gave my phone to a family member or girlfriend. Now I am stranded in Newport without my phone, which contains a lot of important information. I hope Lyft will address this seriously as it seems like the driver intentionally kept my phone.

I had a Lyft ride covered by my doctor's office at Jencare. I questioned the driver about the route being taken and they disregarded the GPS, making me suspicious. When I expressed my urgency to get home for medication, the driver's response was unsettling. Despite asking to be let out and even attempting to call for help, the driver only released me a couple of blocks later. I informed Jencare, and they arranged another ride. When trying to report the incident to Lyft, I was directed to a payment page, which seemed unfair as the rides are covered by my health insurance. I am seeking to speak with a representative regarding this safety concern without having to pay for a simple report. The driver's behavior raises safety issues, and I want to address this without financial obstacles.

I inadvertently left my backpack containing my U.S. and Korean passports, two laptops, fencing uniform, and medical records in my Lyft driver's vehicle. Lyft informed me that the driver found the backpack on September 5th but has not been responsive to their inquiries since. Despite my efforts, Lyft has not provided me with the driver's contact information. My latest correspondence from Lyft was dated September 14, informing me that the driver remains unresponsive. I have also reported the incident to the New Jersey Institute of Technology police, however, they have classified it as lost property with case number C-2[redacted]46 and event number I-2[redacted]16. I am urgently seeking assistance in recovering my belongings. Bogus

I have been using the Lyft app, and everything was going well until Saturday when I requested a Lyft and canceled it 15 minutes before it arrived. The app showed no charge, actually $0, but $25.67 was deducted from my bank account. I thought it might be because it was the weekend and held as pending, but it's Wednesday now, and I have not received a refund. They gave a $14 credit but then withdrew it again today. Please, could someone contact me at [redacted]? I have been trying to reach out, but it's been challenging. I will also contact my bank to dispute this charge. Upon reviewing, all other charges are correct except for the $0 one listed with you. It shows five or six charges from your end, but I have seven charges in my account. The $3 charges might be tips, but the $25.67 one needs to be returned promptly. Thank you for your attention. Yours sincerely, Yuliana G.

I attempted to rent a car to drive for Lyft. I made the reservation over a week ago, but for the second time, they informed me that there are no cars available for any of the reservations. This situation is frustrating, and I cannot afford to wait 5 to 10 days for the money that has been held. According to the website, it may take that long due to delayed fees, but in this case, no fees were charged because I couldn't even pick up the car from the advertised rental service. I urgently need my refund because I have to resort to Uber to start earning immediately. Waiting a week for another potentially unavailable car is impractical. Please expedite my refund. I did not have to wait for my payment to be processed, so I request prompt action. Thank you.

I am a Lyft driver who utilizes the Lyft Direct app for payment. On 7/30/22, I attempted to transfer $50 to my personal USAA checking account via the app. Unfortunately, USAA has not received the funds. After reaching out to Lyft Direct five times, they only provided a trace number for the transaction. Despite this, USAA has not located the money, and Lyft Direct cannot clarify where it was routed. This situation is concerning and appears dishonest. Other financial institutions would conduct an inquiry to track the funds, which Lyft Direct has not undertaken. This has resulted in a loss of my hard-earned money, and I am frustrated by the lack of transparency. I intend to escalate this matter to the BBB due to their unsatisfactory handling of the situation.

I received an email from Lyft on September 13th, [redacted], stating that one of their drivers had submitted negative feedback and a low star rating for me. My bank contacted me on May 16th, [redacted], regarding a suspicious charge of $20 for damages to a Lyft driver's vehicle, which I blocked. Knowing I had never caused such damage, I disputed the issue with Lyft but have received no response. Despite my attempts to contact them, I have been met with silence. Being disabled and critically ill, the inability to resolve this matter has been distressing. This morning, as I attempted to order a ride on the app, a message reiterated the negative review and warned that my ride activity was being monitored. I am frustrated by the lack of response from Lyft, as I have always treated drivers respectfully.

I am frustrated with the service I received. I paid for a standard ride, but it took much longer than expected. The app couldn't find a driver twice, causing delays. After finally getting a driver, the app kept switching to different drivers farther away. I have been waiting for 45 minutes now. Moreover, I disagree with the payment policy that prevents those with online banking from paying at the end of the day. This seems biased and classist. It feels discriminatory and unfair. I believe in treating everyone with decency. This has been my worst experience with your service. I am considering switching to a different ride-sharing company.

During the ride, the driver was circling side streets and neighborhoods claiming the GPS couldn't locate the interstate. It was only when my friend used her own GPS and informed the driver that he managed to find the correct route. The driver continuously blamed the GPS for rerouting onto smaller roads and remarked that it wasn't giving instructions until the destination was entered after 20 minutes of aimless driving. Once the destination was set, the GPS provided guidance. The driving behavior was alarming with sudden stops, reckless lane changes without checking blind spots, and failure to use turn signals, resulting in one friend feeling car sick after the ride. My friends and I felt terrified of being abducted during the journey, relying on the driver to safely transport us, which was not the case. We were deeply distressed and fearful, realizing the danger we could have faced. I am appalled by Lyft's acceptance of such conduct from drivers and will caution other women about the stress and fear we endured. I am requesting a full refund for the ride, although I am willing to settle for the removal of the $63 upcharge from my account.

On 9/28/[redacted], I took a Lyft ride from a driver named Danesh and accidentally left my phone in his backseat. Sadly, the phone was brand new, only a week old. I realized my mistake before he reached the end of the street. Despite trying to contact him to retrieve it and even involving the police, I couldn't get a response. Fortunately, T-Mobile was able to locate it at [redacted] N 111th Lane, Phoenix, AZ, and turned it off. I had to purchase a new phone, but I'm still hoping to get my lost one back. It's frustrating not getting help. I hope for assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your support. -Robin S.

Hello, I'm Lisa Reed. I was picked up from Providence Hospital yesterday after my MRI by a driver named Chris in a white Kia four-door car. He dropped me off at [redacted] Azalea Road, Mobile, Alabama [redacted]. Unfortunately, I left my Motorola phone in a black case in the back seat which has all my important contacts, including my doctors' numbers and addresses. I have an upcoming appointment with my neurosurgeon and need my phone to arrange transportation. You can reach me at [redacted] at McKemie Place, a women's homeless shelter where he left me. I've left messages and am unable to access my Gmail account without my phone. Please contact him to return my phone or bring it to McKemie Place. Chris knows where to find it. Thank you for your help in getting back my government-issued phone with vital information for my medical appointments. Chris drove a white Kia and my name is Lisa Reed.

I was recently in a car accident when the driver I was with rear-ended someone at a stoplight. As a result, my husband and I were injured. The driver left us at our destination and refused to give us a ride back. I was in the middle of changing drop-off details when the accident happened, so I wasn't able to finalize them. Given the circumstances, I am unable to ride back with the same driver due to safety concerns. I urgently need transportation back to my hotel room so I can then arrange for my child's care and seek medical attention at the emergency room.

I took a Lyft last night on 10/08/[redacted]. The driver picked me up at 10:15 pm and dropped me off at my destination at 10:23 pm. Unfortunately, I left my phone in the car accidentally while adjusting my clothes. I'm unable to reach the driver directly, and I can't access my account without my phone for verification. I'm extremely worried as my whole life is on that device, and I urgently need help to retrieve it.

Good morning, I reached out to someone via email regarding my work phone left in one of your driver's cars. The Receipt #[redacted][redacted]12 is related to the driver who has my phone. I'm asking for assistance from Lyft to contact him and arrange for the return. My zoom number, [redacted], is available between 8:30am to 5:00pm for the driver to reach me. I appreciate it if someone from Lyft can kindly ask Leon to contact me on the provided zoom number to facilitate the return of my phone.

Good morning, I am Rosemary Pita. I am reaching out regarding the deactivation of my Lyft account three years ago. My account was deactivated due to a single bad rating despite maintaining a high rating of 4.98. I have been working with Uber since then, also with a good rating, but I would like to rejoin Lyft due to its reputation. I have been unsuccessful in recovering my account and I am hopeful that you can assist me in this matter. I would appreciate any help in restoring my account and rejoining the company. Thank you, Rosemary Pita.

I was billed over $80 for my recent ride at 3 am, which was less than 30 miles. I checked the fare on the app before, it was $29, but when I returned less than a minute later, it increased to $80. I am upset by this unexpected charge. I will share my experience to inform others. Could you explain why the fee changed so drastically in such a short time? As a disabled customer, this situation is distressing. I hope for a resolution, or I may need to escalate this. I am disappointed and considering using a different service. Charging more than double the original fare is unacceptable. Thank you, K. B.

I was rear-ended while driving with a passenger, who claimed to be okay. Both the other driver and I agreed there was minimal damage, so we didn't exchange information or file a claim with insurance. However, the next day, I was unexpectedly blocked by Lyft from driving due to my vehicle not being approved. After contacting Liberty Mutual, Lyft's insurance, I discovered a claim was filed without my knowledge. Despite explaining the situation, it took a week of back-and-forth between Liberty Mutual and Geico, my insurance provider, to learn the claim was closed. Yet, my Lyft app still shows my vehicle as not approved. I'm unsure how to reach Lyft to resolve this issue and need to start working again. What should I do next?

I was charged $[redacted].00 for a Lyft ride from my hotel in Kent, Washington to Sea-Tac Airport around 2 am. Initially, I saw the cost as $19.00 and something cents for the 13-16 minute drive. I selected a standard car from the top of the app, a brown Honda sedan, that was 8-10 minutes away. However, upon nearing the airport, I checked the app again to leave a tip and was surprised to see the price jump to $[redacted].00. Being deaf and unable to communicate verbally while in the car, I couldn't address this with the driver. Comparing prices with other Lyft rides at the airport, standard rides were listed from $35.00 to $60.00, making my charge seem extremely high. This discrepancy should be investigated, as a short 15-minute ride should not cost $[redacted].00.
