Hello, I'm Om Agrawal. Upon our arrival at Houston International Airport around 3:20 PM, I had a Lyft XL booked to pick us up at gate C106 front to take us to Hilton Houston Post Oak Blvd with a driver named David and GMC Yukon [redacted]. Despite numerous calls and messages, David never arrived, leaving us frustrated after waiting for a long time with luggage. We eventually took an Uber XL to the hotel, canceling the Lyft pick-up. However, I noticed a charge of $62.65 on my mobile app. How can I close the Lyft App without being charged the $62.65 fee?

My insurance provider, SCAN, arranges my rides, so I am unable to utilize your complaint form. Today at 7:15am, I was promptly picked up by Azarel with the license plate 8FMG825. The journey was uncomfortable due to his erratic driving style, involving sudden accelerations, hard braking, and unnecessary lane changes. Upon reaching my destination, he struggled to locate the correct spot despite my instructions. Despite my efforts to communicate, there was a language barrier that led to frustration. While I appreciate providing employment opportunities to immigrants, I believe it's essential for them to have adequate English proficiency. I hope for better experiences in the future and seek advice on how I could enhance my communication in similar situations.

I was denied a refund for Lyft charges in March that I didn’t make. 1. I do not have a Lyft app or account. 2. They instructed me to check my app or the associated email address, [redacted], to confirm the rides listed. I informed them that my Google account was hacked in early March before the Lyft charges appeared and I have been unable to regain access to that account for 3 months. I cannot access the linked email and I do not have a Lyft app to verify the charges they claim are valid. Even after clearly explaining that I never had a Lyft account and could not verify the alleged rides, they insisted. After unsuccessful attempts with Google, I proceeded to my bank to dispute the charges, which they said was delayed. This led me to discover gethuman.com last night. I will continue to pursue this to get my money back, including potentially involving the Better Business Bureau, writing about my experience for a blog, and contacting the attorney general in both the state of Lyft's corporate office and my state. I have a $65 hold on my card that I don't understand. I took two Lyft rides yesterday. The first was from [redacted] 5th Ave, Schenectady, NY to Barging Outlet, Schenectady, NY. The second was a return trip from Home Depot, Schenectady, NY back to [redacted] 5th Ave. When I got in the car, the driver asked if I was going to NYC, but I clarified that I wasn't. He mentioned the destination was set to NYC and advised me to change it in the app, assuring me I would only be charged the regular fee. Upon arrival, I noticed I didn't receive a receipt. Upon checking my card, I saw a $65 hold, even though I believe I only paid $9 or $10 for the trip. I urgently need this money back for my weekly expenses. I had a ride scheduled on June 1st, but the driver named Jesus never arrived despite multiple attempts to direct him and waiting. I was charged the full amount of $26 for this no-show. Afterwards, another driver, Samuel, successfully completed the trip from [redacted] Benson Rd SE in Kent to Muckleshoot, for which I was also charged. Despite being billed for both rides, only one was completed.

Last night, a Lyft driver mistakenly picked me up instead of the intended passenger. Despite the confusion, he kindly returned me to the pick-up point to rectify the error. Unfortunately, one item, a collector's Monopoly gift for my granddaughter's 10th birthday, was left in the vehicle. I would appreciate any assistance in retrieving it. The driver's car tag number is Louisiana 895CEP. Thank you for your help.

I waited at Walmart in Las Vegas for a Lyft driver. Once he arrived at our destination, he refused to cancel the ride, so I had to. Despite driving a 7-seat car, he insisted only 6 people could ride. I specifically ordered the largest ride to accommodate my group and our bags. We had to walk to another location to be picked up by a different driver. The driver was rude, unpleasant, and did not meet Lyft's standards. This experience has really affected my Bachelorette weekend. I would like to avoid being charged for the ride and request a complimentary Lyft XL ride for this weekend, please.

I am looking to disconnect as a driver with Lyft. I'm having trouble creating an account with my phone number. When I try to sign up, it says there was a previous owner linked to this number about 6 months ago. There isn't an option to update this information or a way to contact support to remove the old owner's details. I just want to start fresh with a new account. If this can't be resolved, I may consider using Uber instead.

My Lyft username is joanpuresen. On 06.09.19, I requested a ride to [redacted] E 75th Street, but I was dropped off at E 77th Street and directed to walk to my destination. I informed the driver that this was the wrong drop-off point, but he insisted I walk to the building from there. As a result, I was 21 minutes late for work instead of just 10 minutes. I believe I should not be billed for this trip and would like a refund. Thank you.

I applied to be a driver through the Lyft app, completed the test, and submitted my permit paperwork in Seattle. I frequently purchase gift cards for myself and have never faced any issues until now. My mother also used her card on my account in the past. Recently, I attempted to redeem a gift card that I sent to myself, which resulted in the money being deducted from my mom's account. When I tried to apply the code, it stated that I was ineligible. After contacting customer service via email, I was informed that I had violated the terms, they confiscated the gift card without a refund, disabled my account permanently (despite having a $20 credit they also took), and refused to provide specific details on how I breached the terms. When I inquired about a refund for my mom, they abruptly ended the conversation, banned me from using the Lyft platform, and directed me to their website.

On June 10, I used your service to get to Walmart Neighborhood Grocery. After finishing my shopping, I requested a ride home. I waited diligently in front of the store for the Nissan Altima to pick me up. Suddenly, I received a text instructing me to go to another spot for a different car. Despite the scorching [redacted]-degree heat in central California, I kept an eye out for the Volkswagon Passat. Another text stated the driver had waited more than six minutes and charged me $5, even though I hadn't moved from where I stood. I suspect the driver may have gone to a different store or another location in the busy shopping center, making communication difficult. The unexpected additional stops and the change in car made me uneasy. The ordeal caused me stress and discomfort under the heat. I never requested these changes and the situation was mishandled, leaving me dissatisfied. I await a refund into my bank account and an apology within 48 hours or I will escalate it to the Better Business Bureau. On Wednesday, June 13th, [redacted], at 9:08 am, I took a Lyft from Washington Dulles International Airport to my home in Ashburn. Regrettably, I became ill during the ride and unintentionally vomited in the back seat of the car. Feeling distressed, I was unsure how to address the situation with the driver, Samantha. She kindly pulled over to assess the damage, taking photos for documentation. Samantha assured me that Lyft would contact me to address the issue and cover any related costs. However, I have not received any communication from Lyft since then. Recently, I noticed a charge of $19.52 for the ride and an additional $[redacted] for cleaning. I understand the inconvenience caused to the driver, but I was genuinely unwell and did not intend for this to happen. Samantha indicated that Lyft would handle the matter, so I am surprised by the charges.

I encountered an issue with booking a Lyft ride at Miami International Airport. Despite multiple attempts on the app, no driver accepted the ride to West Palm Beach until I finally got matched with ROBERTO. Upon arrival, he requested cash as he didn't have a card machine, which resulted in me paying $66 in cash plus a tip. This differs from the $66 charge shown on the app. I believe I am owed a $28 credit to my card to rectify the overcharge. Lyft should investigate why Roberto demanded payment separately, and I expect them to reimburse the $66 he received in cash.

I am feeling incredibly frustrated with my experience on Lyft. I am facing the possibility of being blocked as a driver, which feels unfair as I did not receive any proper training from Lyft. Being less familiar with technology, I have struggled to navigate the app effectively. Yesterday, I faced two incidents that highlight this issue. During my trips, I encountered incorrect directions on my phone which led to dissatisfaction from passengers, and I did not receive payment for one trip. Additionally, my phone battery died during another trip, making it impossible to input necessary information. Despite these challenges, I tried to communicate promptly with Lyft upon returning home, providing details such as the drop-off time and customer inquiries about future trips.

I took a Lyft ride home last night, and the driver initially accepted the trip but then complained it was too far and asked me to get out of the car. I was shocked by her behavior and had to wait for another Lyft. I am very upset by this experience and would like a refund for the ride from LA to Long Beach on 6/14/19. I, a visually impaired individual, was charged $81.35 for a ride I did not request. The driver mistakenly took me to an old address instead of my home after a concert. Despite my clear directions, he left me at a deserted restaurant in the middle of the night. I felt uncomfortable due to personal questions and the incorrect drop-off location. The police had to assist me at the concert venue. I insist on a refund for this unauthorized and distressing journey. I have already made my disability known during the trip. While driving on Highway 80 at around 10:00 AM today, a Lyft driver displayed extremely aggressive behavior towards us. He repeatedly made obscene gestures, yelled obscenities, and drove recklessly. The driver, a short individual of Asian descent with dark skin, even used offensive language when confronted. His actions were dangerous and unprofessional, which reflects poorly on your company. I had an unpleasant experience with the last passenger I picked up on K Street NW in DC. He got frustrated when I missed a turn, even though I apologized for being a bit late. Despite following my navigation system, he began shouting directions at a major intersection. Feeling pressured, I complied with his demands, but he abruptly exited the car before I could safely stop. I want to share this feedback so that I am not paired with this passenger in the future.
