We ordered a lift ride last Saturday Jan **th early morning (*am) from Park city UT to Riverdale UT. When entering the vehicle the driver stated that his last customers "had to make it worth his time". While driving down the Park City pass there was a terrible car accident in front of us that caused about a half hour wait. From there the ride continued smoothly to Riverdale. The driver arrived at the street that was entered when ordering the lyft and we realized that the house number had not been typed in. We were * minutes from our destination. When we notified the driver, he demanded we exit the vehicle immediately. * women at *am. We asked if he could please drive us the extra * minutes and charge us for the extra distance. He refused and demanded we get out unless we "made it worth his time". Not wanting to be stranded in the cold, in an unlnown neighborhood my friend offered him cash. He finally settled on $** cash and delivered us to our destination. After arriving we noticed that we were also charged for the extra distance through the lyft app. From the driver's initial statement we all believe that this is a common practice for this diver. This is considered extortion in our opinion and we would like to keep future riders from being taken advantage of. The Lyft was not ordered from the email address provided below.
