Hi - Juan J picked me up at *** S. Cloverdale at *:**am on Dec **. The previously booked Lyft I set up the night before didn't show up so I was very anxious and now ** minutes late. We compared GPS systems and Juan expertly drove me through the Christmas traffic that was building and dropped me off at LAX in record time. I was very short of time to catch my flight home for Christmas. I called Merry Christmas to him as I raced into the terminal to check in and dash to security. After a very quick check in, I wove my way to the TSA approved gate and ran up the stairs to start unloading my things onto the conveyor belt. When I took my coat off I realized I didn't have my phone. I felt my heart drop and my world stop. Juan had graciously offered to charge my phone in the car and that's where I figured I left it. I abandoned my carry on and ran down the stairs, back through security and toward the check in counter. For some reason, I called to the girls at the gate check in line I had talked to on the way through - "Any chance someone came by here with a lost phone?" "YES!!" they said. "He went that way!" I ran toward my airline calling out his name, above the heads of many folks rushing to their gates and ran outside to where Juan had dropped me. "Miss Karen, Miss Karen!!" yelled Juan waving my phone from the car still parked where I left it. I simply couldn't believe it. My Christmas would have been very different if Juan had not tried to find me and I wanted to send along a note to say his service was extraordinary and Lyft needs to know when their drivers are such good ambassadors for the company.
