I have used Lyft in the LA area for over a year. When I was using Lyft over in West Covina. Over the last few months, I have used Lyft multiple times for rides to several places as I didn't have a rental car. I had at least * different times where the driver was either late getting to me to pick me up (past the scheduled pickup time) or they went in the wrong direction (opposite direction) of where my motel was located after picking me up. As a result, I was billed for extra mileage and the amount I paid was different from the amount I was quoted when I first scheduled the pickup. One of these occasions, the driver momentarily got lost as the address which transferred from my phone to her Lyft program was the wrong address. I put in the correct address and then she somehow got a different address which was a long way from my motel. Of course I was billed for this driving around trying to find the right address. Most of these drivers were not familiar at all with the areas and as a result they are not familiar where to go when their Lyft GPS device suddenly has the wrong address. They don't even know how to change the address when I give them the correct address when I first get in the car making sure that they aren't going in the wrong direction. I can provide the * rides which I am referring to. All of this happened while I was supposed to be getting a major discount on my Lyft rides. I was paying more money than I normally do under normal rates much less discounted ones. I also had the same thing happen the last time I took Lyft as the driver immediately had the wrong address in his GPS Lyft device when I first got in the car. I verified the address with him and he still drove several miles out of the way and cost me more money than necessary. Something needs to be done regarding this practice. I shouldn't be paying extra money than what is quoted when I set up the pickup with Lyft. I would like someone to contact me regarding these repeated problems over * or * different rides.
