The issue in GetHuman-syltnguy's own words
I called for a Lyft yesterday and was canceled on not once, but TWICE. I attempted to get a shared ride from San Francisco to Oakland (estimated $**). When my first ride arrived, I got into the vehicle. When he realized I was heading to Oakland, he told me to get out of the car and that he cannot take me because he had somewhere else to be in ** minutes. I was completely APPALLED. I told him it was unacceptable and that if he had somewhere else to be, he shouldn’t pick up passengers. When I asked for his name, he then tried to LIE TO ME and gave me a different name than what is depicted in my Lyft app. So now, I don’t know what is the truth and what isn’t! What I had in the app was “Nabin” (license plate *KSX***), he gave me a different name. **After I was forced to get out of his car, I called for another Lyft. The next one was Ana Claudia, who after I waited for another * minutes, she arrived and immediately canceled and drove off! No notice, NOTHING. **It was not until my third request, that I was finally able to get to my destination. And by then, because I was running late, I had to take a stand-alone Lyft ride - not shared, which DOUBLED my cost. **I used to drive for Lyft when the company first began and I cannot believe how much has changed. This service is unacceptable. It was a frustrating experience and I am in complete shock. Especially with my first driver, kicking me out of his car and giving me a false name?? Or was it his name on the Lyft app that was false? **In this climate where there is major concern for passenger safety and women especially, this experience was incredibly disturbing and makes me question whether I should continue to use Lyft services and advise others to not use it either. **Not only do I want a COMPLETE refund for my last ride, I want some actions taken on those drivers!
