This evening around * p.m. I was trying to get a ride to my appointment. I have the worst experience of my life with a Lyft driver. Young Latina ******* woman. Stocky build. I think I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and she took everything out on me that she was angry about that day. I have a walker and a cane. When she pulled up she sat in the car so I open the trunk and attempted to load my Walker by myself. I have no problem doing that. I did need to remove a crate that was not very heavy so the Walker would fit in. Then I was going to put the crate back in after the Walker got in there. Angelique came back and told me to not touch her stuff and that I was putting her in danger stopping at a red curb. It was surreal she argued with me about loading the Walker. I was patiently trying to explain to her I have loaded this walker into *** cars on my own but she insisted she knew better. So it ended up in the backseat. I sat up front with her and said I know a much better way to get me to my appointment then going up Broadway to *st Avenue. She argued with that as well and told me she's been driving downtown for ** years. I found that hard to believe she doesn't look old enough. I myself have worked downtown for ** years. I told her ** out of ** drivers appreciate my shortcut Upstate Street right on Grape and then up First Avenue to University. Every driver has told me that was a much better route. Please return to go up State Street she said I'm going to let you off up here I had to beg her to let me off at a better address so I could quickly get another ride to get to my appointment. I never cursed or yelled at her. I kept telling her to please calm down. When I got out of the car I was so distraught I almost started crying. Before I got out I tonight she would think back on how she treated me and would and realize she was wrong. She said no I won't. I never treat anybody like that. I have always given my drivers * stars with the exception of one miserable Uber driver who was just like her. New everything and wouldn't listen and made a point of letting me know how I had inconvenienced her. Absolutely unacceptable. Please talk to her
I trust that Lyft will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
