On my last two rides on Lyft (April ** and **), my final fare differed substantially from the original quote. I chose Lyft over Uber for those rides based on comparing quotes for ride cost before booking the rides. On April **, Lyft added $**.** to an original quote of $**.**. On April **, Lyft added $**.** to an original quote of $**.**. Such variation never happens with UBER. Based on these experiences, I will be reluctant to choose Lyft in the future.
