LensCrafters knowingly accepted a fraudulent check for $***.** on *******.*My mother's private caregiver took Mom,** in the late stage of *Alzheimer's,residing in a assisted facility,to her appt in Cordova Mall,Pensacola FL.*I'd called the store * hrs ahead of the appt explaining I was her daughter,also her DPOA. Asking how many checks would be needed. They said *,I told the private sitter to take *. I called ** min b* her appt to inform of the sitters lack of giving permission or any questions from the staff,please call me for such.*The store called me twice during her exam,asking valid question.*When I noted * checks missing from moms checkbook & the sitter stating it was @ her house,she'd bring it the following day,she couldn't rem what the *rd check was for.*I called LensCrafters & ask for all receipts.*I was ask if it had to do w the person who had been w Mom. "Yes,it is"*Store clerk said all the girls questioned her buying glasses w moms check,agreed that something had not seemed right w the situation. *Thus w*o calling me for that question which is now becoming a law suit for Mom,Elderly laws were made to protect those taken advantage of.*I was & remain irate,Mom lost $*** !!*I blame staff,they were knowledgeable & called me twice,why would they not call telling me the sitter had a *rd check & told the staff that Mom was allowing it,it was agreed she'd pay her back by deducting it from her pay w Mrs.Coleman. The sitter had been hired aft Mom broke her shoulder & needed more help w Mom than assisted living could provide.*That was Sept..I made it very clear that Mom could not legally answer for herself,call me! *This * sitter was the only one,allowed once to drive Mom. I was ill the day of Mom & my appt date,I couldn't take her.*Point of hire date was to tell you,this sitter knew she doing wrong.*Thought I'd not notice a *rd check was written? As it turned out,that was grounds to let her go. When I went to do the police report,both Mom & I had been scammed from day *. She was a seasoned pro at it,how she made a her living. The detective looking at the rap sheet was happy to help! *She did housecleaning for me,thus sitter knew where everything was in my home-stolen from my home was multi dollar & sentiment items,I am in a different county from Mom (* miles away) I'm Santa Rosa,mom is Escambia.*My decision to pursue a law suit against LensCrafters has been strongly advised I do this. I was told to *st speak w LC. Corp,making them aware of the situation. I need help to find a working number!! I also welcome any advice you might have. *There is zero % of loosing this suit,lawyers for the elderly as well as those disabled,as I am have assured me. I knew that however!
