The issue in GetHuman-jimfkolb's own words
talk to the service desk employees, but all were extremely unhelpful. ... I purchased an additional service for my return flight from TXL to ZRH to SFO, two baggage pieces totaling $*** USD. Once we arrived at the check in at TXL we were told our flight was delayed and we were forced to rebook as we would not make our international connection. Lufthansa changed our luggage information for the new flight, but was only able to ensure our luggage would be sent to FRA from TXL, and that they were unable to book our luggage from FRA to SFO. We were told to go talk to the united service desk and ensured we would be reimbursed for our charges. Our additional service booking code was JRVTQ*,*Jim Kolbe *Ticket no. ***-**** *** *****Grace Rentzel*Ticket no. ***-**** *** *****We want Lufthansa to reimburse us the ***USD, either to the original card, or to another one of mine. *If so, we would look forward to flying Lufthansa again and forget this ordeal.
We were made to run across the entire airport *-* times, just for us to pay again, which was almost impossible as my bank denied their transaction as it was taking place over the phone In Portugal. Very unprofessional.
Refunding the ***USD to the original card, as we were made to pay again.
I've been flying Lufthansa for the last twenty years, and always enjoyed their nice staff and good treatment,
We tried to talk to customer service in the airport, but were denied any help in paying for this, and simply told to take it online.
