Good afternoon,**I had an issue with my luggage during travelling with Lufthansa.*I had a business trip from Lviv (Ukraine) to New York (USA) during **.**.****-**.**.****. My flight LH **** to New York initially planned on **.**.**** - Munich-Newark was cancelled and replaced on the next day - **.**.**** by other * flights:*-LH*** Munic-Frankfurt*-LH*** Frankfurt-New York (EWR)*Once I arrived in the airport in NEWARK I received my luggage totally destroyed. As per procedure I went to the luggage claim desk to submit the report. Lady who was at that time in the front desk asked me several questions from where I am travelling, what should be the address of luggage refund, what is the price of my current luggage, how long I was using it, etc. To me it looked like she submitted some form with all the details of issue in her PC.*The only document which she granted to me was cover of baggage report and stick from my luggage. She told me to buy new luggage in USA and company will reimburse all costs, I just need to save a receipt for luggage purchase. She gave me only cover from baggage report without any documents inside and told that this will be enough, I need just to come to Ukraine to pass the cover from baggage report to service desk of Lufthansa in Ukraine and to provide the receipt of new luggage purchase. Once I arrived home yesterday ** August **** and went to front desk in Lviv, they informed me that there is not enough documents from USA side. That lady should provide additional paper with tracking number which she did not provide.*So they recommended me to contact Lufthansa for clarifications.*I have photo of damaged luggage and I have a receipt of new purchased luggage, however I do not have any tracking number. Could you please help me to find whether lady from service in NEWARK in USA had recorded my issue in the system (I saw she was typing smth on her pc) and what should be my next steps in order to refund new purchase of luggage, as mine was totally destroyed.*Would appreciate if you can contact me asap on mob phone ************* or e-mail *****@***.com*Will be waiting for your reply.*Thanks and regards,*Ivanna Rysak
