Check out ... My story start with the fact I have never like NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson in saying that I have always been a true Nascar fan , so Lowes was my home improvement store through my work and home. Sometime in December of **** why at Lowes one of your cashiers ask me If I had a Military Discount ( Jacksonville is a very military town) , I told I didn’t but I serve for * years during the late **’s early **’s . She gave me a card and told me to go online and sign up for it ( I don’t know if she was suppose to but she gave me a military discount anyways ) I went online and follow all prompts and was sheer verify. I receive a email from Lowes that my verification was approve and I sent off for the my Lowes card . The next time I went to Lowes I gave them my phone number that was on my application and low and behold my name came up with a military discount available to me. Now for the meat of the story . My wife whom is disable went to Lowes on the *st of January on Western Blvd in Jacksonville NC approximately *:** pm. My wife ask a female employee that was on duty leaning against service counter if they had a cap for her roller that she was using at that time. The employee says she did not know if they did have one they would be on isle ** or ** ,my wife who is disable ask the associate if she could go see if she could find out. The associate went about * feet ask someone and said they did not have them . My wife call me because I told her they had them and I told I would pick them up tomorrow. Tomorrow comes I travel to Lowes on Yopp Rd in Jacksonville and pick up ** plastic pieces for her roller . I went to check out gave them my phone number and magically I receive my military discount. The last part of this story happens at *:** pm the same day at the same Lowes. I go in there looking for a diamond plate to put on my wife wheel chair ramp ( I was told Home Depot had some but I was a Lowes man) . I find a associate and he direct me right to the item . I get my diamond plate and head to check out and give the cashier my phone number and magically my name comes up and military discount. The cashiers ring up my item and I pay for it , as I leaving store I look at my receipt and no military discount . I turn back to the cashier and tell her that I did not receive my military discount . She said I should have and she ask other cashiers what did she do wrong neither on could figure it out and they politely ask to go to customer service desk and they could rectify the problem . I believe the the customer service rep name was Shannon or something close to that . I told her what had happen . She look at receipt ask me for my phone number . I told her that I had not receive my military discount. She inform me that my phone number was not in system . I told her the cashier pull it up . Frustrated she went to another site I think it was (my Lowes site) The associate said I was on the My Lowes site but I did not have any military discount associated with my phone number and account. I told her and show her the sheer verification and email from Lowes stating that Lowes has approve and issue me a military discount. She say she could not except any of these but if I had my DD-*** she would except that . To her surprise I had a pic on my officially register DD-*** . Again she told that would not be good enough . She told me if I would bring the original DD-*** that she would be able to give me discount . At this time I told her it not about the money and to never mind . I told I would send this email of as I do not believe this is how Lowes treats veterans . I acutely went by were the store manager was and told her real quick story what had happen she said she was sorry but that was it Lowes my not believe me but I Am A PROUD AMERICAN VETERAN that will be shopping at Home Depot from now on .
