Morning: I purchased a husqvarna riding mower on May **th, ****. In Sept. **th, ****, four months later, it started to run rough. It only had ** hours on the run time meter. I thought possibly it needed the air cleaner replaced or blown out. When I opened the compartment their was no air cleaner installed. I then preceeded to call Husqvarna and they told me the engine was warranted by Briggs & Stratton but instructed me on where to take the mower for repairs near my house. They got it working again and installed an air filter. Now on Oct. **th, **** they inform me that Briggs and Straton will not warranty the repairs and want $** for their repair work. I told them how upset I am and they told me to contact you with my dissatisfaction & repair charges. Believe it or not I am ** yrs. old, a veteran on social security, and this is the first new riding mower I have ever purchased. I saved religiously for three years to buy this mower. I purchase all my home and garden needs from Lowes. I even discussed the mower purchase with Steve, who always delivers everything I buy from lowes. All I'm asking is that Lowes credit my account the $** or contact Briggs & Stratton for them to pay. I do not think anyone would buy an $**** mower and then take the filter out in order to mess it up. Thank you for listening and I will be waiting to hear from you.
