The issue in GetHuman-priory's own words
We contracted with Lowes (N Tampa) to remodel a bathroom. First contact with Kathleen Winston was on **********. She brought the contractor to our home to estimate the project on ******** (I paid a refundable fee of $** to get the estimate - not refunded as of this date). They told us they could have the project completed by ********. I know now that the date was impossible. They did not present us with the estimate until the end of October at which time I made payment in full (A foolish move on my part). They did not begin to tear out the bathroom until January **th. The plumber doing the rough-out told us that the vanity cabinets would not fit properly and they had to be reordered. The new cabinets were installed and the granite installers came on ********. The granite was cut wrong and had to be sent back. We were made to pay extra ($***) to correct the error which was not our fault. One fixture in the original plan was eliminated because the contractor said he did not include cost of wire to the switch box (about ** feet) and wanted an additional $*,*** to connect this fixture. At this point, we have failed the county inspection (again). We failed the rough out inspection because code required an additional outlet. Lowes representative and*or contractor should have been knowledgeable about county code. Now we have failed final inspection because outlets were not installed properly. Worker was sent to correct problem but was unable to. I do not know reason because he did not speak english. I was under the impression that electrical work should have been done by a licensed electrician. The worker was also supposed to replace defective faucet and he would not. I have called Louie Coniglio (Project Manager) and he has not returned my call. Also I am still in possession of several items that were ordered for the project and not used. Louie was not able to credit them. To sum up, a remodel of a small bathroom has taken almost ** months and is not complete. At this point I have a bathroom that has failed county inspection and nobody seems to be doing anything about it. Somebody from Lowes should be running this project. Instead they have subcontracted to multiple entities and they are not following up to check on progress of the project.*Lawrence Leibowitz*(***) ***-****
