Hi,** I’m writing this to inform you of the surreal experience my father and I had at one of your Oklahoma City metro stores very recently. ** My father purchased an expensive Husqavarna push mower in mid April of this year. About two weeks ago he noticed it was leaking oil and running rough so he called me to try and help him get it to the store for service. We were unable to find his proof of purchase due to extensive water damage sustained during the tornado that hit Norman late last month. Nearly everything in his home was irrevocably damaged.** Just to be clear the mower was in his shed and was not damaged by the storm.** I contacted Husqavarna and they referred us to the store for service or exchange. I also contacted Lowe’s customer service and spoke with a representative who indicated the store can try to find the receipt but will work with us either way. I proceeded to the store and what happened is as follows. ** The service desk employee wasted our time for over fortyfive minutes while she committed a litany of mistakes I can only hope are against store policy. They are as follows. She assisted other customers while she was supposedly looking for my dads receipt in the system, more then once she stopped helping us altogether to assist the other service desk employee with other customers issues, (all of which came in after us) she was dismissive, rude, and lazy, she answered the service desk phone several times which was in itself understandable, however the last call she answered seemed to be someone she was acquainted with in an intimate way if you understand my meaning. This was visibly offensive to my father and myself. He walked out at that point to wait in the car. At that point I was livid and asked to speak with a manager. She was rude again and a little aggressive in the way she semi shouted “just a moment sir”. I heard her tell the other employee she was taking her break about five minutes later. After waiting at least another fifteen minutes I gave up and walked out as well.. **After our experience I don’t think I’ll ever go into another Lowe’s. My father on the other hand is very old and on a fixed income. He can’t afford to buy another mower. Although I would happily buy him a new one or even pay for the repairs to this one, I know he wouldn’t accept it. I’m hoping someone will at least try and rectify this for him. He really enjoys working on his yard and tending his garden. It’s really the only excercise he gets and honestly I think it keeps him going. Thanks for reading this.
