The issue in GetHuman-mr_nyc's own words
Dear Customer Service Manager,**My name is David Waring. I signed up for a subscription with Newsday for Sunday delivery on ********. My first three paper deliveries have all been missed. I have called numerous times and spoken to reps as well as supervisors. I was told a few times that my case was being forwarded to the regional manager and that I would get a call back and have my delivery problem resolved.*Not only did I never receive a call, but my paper was missed again this past Sunday *******. I contacted customer service and they finally had someone redeliver it around **:**. However, I have requested that my Newsday copy be left somewhere on the porch so that it's covered and visible. I watched the person in a van barely fling the paper out of their window on the very edge of our lawn by the sidewalk and nowhere near our house. If it's left here it will easily get taken by people walking by and additionally will get wet in bad weather.**Furthermore, this redelivered paper was incomplete and missing many fliers, etc. *I would like some sort of assurance from a manager or supervisor that I have an assigned delivery person that will bring my complete paper every Sunday going forward and can put the paper somewhere on the covered porch, not by the sidewalk where it will possibly be taken by people walking by or get wet. *I think it's unbelievable that as a brand new customer, Newsday can't manage to deliver my paper or rectify the delivery problem after three missed papers, nor does the regional manager follow up with ** hours as promised by customer service on a few different calls. Nobody has even given me a reason why my papers are not getting delivered. *Newsday really needs better customer service and a more efficient delivery service. If I have a problem with delivery again this Sunday I will definitely be canceling my subscription and switching to the New York Times.**Thank you.*Sincerely,**David Waring****-***-****
