The decisions made have had severe repercussions on me, as I have been denied access to my LinkedIn account, a crucial tool for my daily work activities and networking, compromising over 15 years of networking accomplishments with more than 10,[redacted] contacts. Additionally, my account plays a vital role in my professional endeavors within the IT industry, often being referenced on various documents authored by me. The situation unfolded when I attempted to access my account on Thursday, July 29, and due to password issues, it led to my account being restricted. I followed the account recovery procedures by submitting my identification for verification, but regrettably, my efforts seem to have been overlooked. The responses received, particularly from Carlos and Louis from the Security and Member Recovery Department, have been disheartening, with a decision to permanently restrict my account due to alleged violations without providing any specific details or prior warnings. I am concerned about the lack of transparency and the inability to adequately defend myself against these accusations. I seek a fair and unbiased review of the situation, in line with the principles of fairness and freedom. Dear Forum Members, I was tasked with updating the LinkedIn account for our CEO at Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Hello Team, I set up my LinkedIn account with the email [redacted] In March [redacted], I deactivated my account. Recently, I discovered that our university migrated all accounts to Outlook, and we no longer have husky.neu.edu emails. When I search for my account on LinkedIn using the email or phone number, I cannot find it. I have important conversations, personal/professional information, and payment details linked to that email. Even though the new university email contains old LinkedIn mails, I have lost access to my LinkedIn account. I have been trying to resolve an issue with LinkedIn for two months, as they charged me over $[redacted]. I signed up for a free trial that turned out to be useless for me. I canceled on June 19, two days before the trial expired. Despite assurances from the help desk, the problem remains unresolved and has caused significant stress. I signed up for a premium LinkedIn service on a trial basis but found it unhelpful and difficult to use. Due to contracting COVID-19, I was seriously ill, experienced brain fog, and memory issues, forgetting about the trial period. I was charged $[redacted].78 on August 8th. Please refund this charge as I still need financial help. I can provide a document verifying my COVID-19 illness. I initially signed up with the email [redacted], but now use [redacted] or [redacted] Phone [redacted].

I wanted to share my experience regarding a concerning issue on LinkedIn. There is a website called advisorycloud.com that is allegedly copying information from LinkedIn profiles to sell their advisory services under false promises of job opportunities. My husband fell victim to this scam, being charged $[redacted] for the first quarter. Unfortunately, upon discovering the fraudulent nature of the company and attempting to cancel our account, we faced difficulties. It seems many individuals are involved in this deceitful practice, exploiting people and misusing LinkedIn data. I believe it's crucial for LinkedIn to be informed about this misconduct. In an attempt to gather more information, I decided to pretend interest in joining them and caught one of their representatives in the act.

I received a notification from LinkedIn about my restricted paid account. They are requesting personal identification, which I find unacceptable. I will not share such sensitive information with LinkedIn or any other social media platform, especially when they already have my details. I would like to cancel my paid subscription as I'm unsure why my account was restricted. While it is their prerogative, I have the right to stop payments.

I am reaching out regarding my colleague who is unable to contact the help line directly. When he clicks “connect,” nothing happens, as if the connection request is not registering. He is unable to get in touch or raise an issue. Also, there is no link available for him to do so. He has been unsuccessful in resolving this issue. He tried removing all pending invitations on LinkedIn, contacting LinkedIn support, searching for solutions on the LinkedIn help forum, and sending connection requests with a message attached. His LinkedIn email is [redacted] His name is Harry B. and he works with me at Tale. Please assist in resolving this matter as we plan to use LinkedIn recruiter soon but are hesitant until this issue is fixed.

While renewing my subscription on LinkedIn, I noticed that I was charged twice. I attempted to remove the additional subscription from my profile. Unfortunately, I mistakenly clicked on a prompt asking about a duplicate account and confirmed that I wanted to remove my entire account - which was not the case since I only have one account. I have been following the instructions provided on the LinkedIn website to recover my account, but it seems that the prompts do not align with the steps outlined. I am unable to find the option to "recover account" to reinstate my profile. Any assistance in recovering/reinstating my account would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mick

Hello, my name is Edmond P. Curran. I have been a LinkedIn member for years using either [redacted] or [redacted] In August [redacted], I suddenly couldn't sign in with my original Hotmail email. I tried creating a new account with my MSN email but had trouble when asked to verify it. I didn't receive the verification email from LinkedIn, even though I tested my MSN account with text messages successfully. I am experiencing an issue with my LinkedIn account. Despite having many contacts, the platform only displays a few. Additionally, after recently changing my password due to it being rejected, I am stuck in a loop of identifying pictures of bridges or traffic lights when trying to login. I received a response asking how LinkedIn can make it right, to which I am frustrated as I am contacting them precisely to fix the problem, not to provide solutions myself. I am eagerly waiting for them to resolve this issue promptly.

In December [redacted], I signed up for the 30-day free trial of Sales Navigator. Despite attempting to cancel before the trial ended due to lack of time to explore the features, my account was still charged on 17 January. After my bank reversed the charge, LinkedIn provided my initial payment details as proof of approval. Now, another charge has been taken on 26/8/[redacted] despite not using Sales Navigator. EARTH is an organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, dedicated to achieving UNDP's Sustainable Development Goals. I recently signed up for LinkedIn and received a job offer through LinkedIn chat. To respond, I needed to download LinkedIn Premium. I didn't receive an email about the free trial ending, and as a result, I was charged €54.99. Typically, with a one-month free subscription, customers are notified via email a few days before the trial ends. The email advises them that if they don't cancel, they will be charged, but they have the option to cancel immediately. I would like a refund for these charges.
