Access my LinkedIn profile. The account was locked as the email address was changed by hackers and my username (email address) is no longer recognised. My account was also used to send contacts a link which would probably contain a virus. ... I received an email from LinkedIn that a new email address was added to my account. I tried to access my account but my email address is no longer recognised.
I received an email back from the LinkedIn support team that in order to solve the problem I should send a copy of my ID with photo and signature. They added that I could cover the ID number to protect myself but I do not feel comfortable sharing my ID anyway. Why would this be needed and why my signature anyway? I think this is a fraud.
I want to be able to access my LinkedIn account again by having my email address*username reinstated with the original password I had created and then change password when I can get into the settings again.
I have been with LinkedIn since **** and joined the LinkedIn premium membership.
I tried to call a support number but the LinkedIn in number provided is not active. It seems to use the Singapore area code and the line gets disconnected as soon as the number is dialled.
