Right up front, I'm going to admit that I screwed up. Over the past couple weeks, I'm guilty of literally adding any and everyone to my LinkedIn account for the sake of gaining more exposure for my articles and the thinking that, "It can't hurt to have a million connections on here, in the event I need to get employed" I only started doing this the past couple of weeks after seeing that some of the articles I had written on there were gaining some traction. That being said, as I was adding connections today, I was all of a sudden thrown to a page that said I need to enter the email address of the person i want to add. **Needless to say, I'm dutifully regretting my pathetic usage of LinkedIn invitations. I honestly had no idea I had a limit, let alone a lifetime limit, and realize that my careless usage of my invitations could now hinder my ability to connect with professionals in my field in the future. I also tried to withdraw my invitation but do not find any invitation to withdraw in "Already Sent tab". Refer below screenshot. Is there any way I can withdraw all of those POS invitations that haven't been accepted, and use them properly with industry influences in the future? I know I'm asking a lot, but I think LinkedIn is very valuable as a tool for professionals and I shudder at the thought of not being able to utilize it at all going forward! I'm in the marketing and current pursuing my MBA in Canada where i need to add lot of people on linkdin so that i can connect them for future business * employment and I frequently attend and present at tradeshows and industry events where I'm meeting new people that I'd like to connect with. I'm truly sorry!!!! I'm not trying to spam people or make a mockery of this network, I just was not aware I had to be careful with my invitations and so I was throwing them out there willy nilly. I promise I'll do better if you'll give me another chance.**I know this sounds like a desperate letter from an ex-boyfriend, but I would really, really love the opportunity to learn from this mistake and be given a second chance, if you can find it in your heart(s). I'll even write a positive post about LinkedIn and its customer support that I can share with all my new random connections (as some sort of small recompense) if you so desire. Again my sincerest apologies, and God bless all of you. Every one.
