Hello LinkedIn team, I am experiencing issues with my LinkedIn account as it has been restricted despite my efforts to comply with the terms and conditions. I have submitted my identification document multiple times without any response from LinkedIn yet. This restriction hinders my career opportunities as I have important connections on the platform and need access to Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning for courses. I understand the importance of abiding by the rules in the future and am willing to take the necessary precautions. I have attempted to reach out to customer support via phone, but unfortunately, have not received any assistance. I kindly ask for your help in resolving this matter promptly. I apologize for any unintentional violations and assure you of my commitment to following the guidelines diligently. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Warm regards, Subash Chhetry

My LinkedIn account has been permanently restricted due to a violation of the Terms & Services. I tried to verify my identity with my driver's license to appeal the restriction, but my request was denied. I believe there may be an error in this process for a couple of reasons: 1. As a college student, I have no reason or desire to misuse LinkedIn. 2. Before my account was restricted, I started getting alerts about activity violating the user agreement, even though I hadn't logged in at that time. I suspect there could be various reasons for this issue: - Unauthorized access by hackers - A glitch in a third-party LinkedIn application on my MacBook - Deficiencies in LinkedIn's violation detection system

Yesterday, at approximately 3:04 PM EDT, I received a 6-digit code via text on my phone purporting to be from Linkedin. Unfortunately, I forwarded the code to an imposter who claimed it was needed for a video chat on Linkedin. I now suspect this code was a security measure sent by Linkedin, as the imposter seemed to be hacking into my account. I have been advised that my other accounts, possibly my bank account, could be compromised. I am seeking clarification on whether Linkedin indeed sent that code on October 8 at 3:04 PM to determine my next steps for securing my accounts. Additionally, although I had deactivated my Linkedin account over a year ago, I reactivated and deactivated it again last night. It is unclear if the imposter also accessed my account during this time.

Hello, I mistakenly clicked on "remove email address" while logged into my LinkedIn account. I intended to update my email to a new one since I no longer work at that company ([redacted], my old email). Now, I am unable to access LinkedIn when I attempt to sign in using that email as it doesn't recognize it. My old devices with automatic log-in still function. I've been a regular LinkedIn user for about 5 years. I'm not a premium member. Could you please reinstate my old email so I can log in from the web? I worry my account with all my work and contacts might be permanently deleted. Despite this, I can still access it from my phone (automatically logged in). Residing in Germany, I can be reached at +49 [redacted]5. I'd appreciate a call to help resolve this access issue caused by my mistaken deletion of the email address. Thank you, Adrienne Parker

I am having trouble accessing my LinkedIn account. When attempting to change my password, it says my email is associated with another user. Trying to create a new account, the system rejects my phone number. This has been an ongoing problem for 3 years, hindering my professional career. Despite contacting LinkedIn customer service, they were unable to assist me. I am stuck in a loop where I can't use my email to log in or sign up due to conflicting messages. I am unsure if my account is still active, contributing to the issue. The account is under k1000hinain @hotmail.com. Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently experiencing harassment from an individual using a LinkedIn account associated with your organization. Despite not having an account myself, this person has a history of harassment charges, a restraining order, and an alarming report of child abuse. They have been banned from Facebook for similar inappropriate behavior towards minors. If I do not receive prompt assistance on this matter, I will have no choice but to seek legal counsel. Although I would prefer to resolve this issue discreetly, I am willing to turn to social media if necessary to shed light on the misuse of your platform. Please contact me via email at [redacted]

My account has been compromised. I have been unable to access my account for a few weeks as it does not recognize my username/email. I called what I believed to be LinkedIn tech support and left my number. A senior tech representative named Edward, who can be reached at 1-[redacted], ext [redacted], called me back. During the call, he mentioned that the hacker might have changed my email as my password was strong. Edward offered a one-time full account restoration service for $[redacted].99 under the name "technet" on my credit card statement. I shared my credit card details assuming safety as he returned my call. Now I suspect it might have been a scam. Please reach out to me urgently for guidance on stopping the payment if necessary and to understand if LinkedIn can assist in recovering my account. I was given a file number to reference in communications: [redacted]-7500TTS. Edward mentioned it would take about 72 hours to resolve the issue. Thank you for your help. - Christine Cunningham Hauser

I had an account with the email [redacted] for several years, where I stored around 7-8 thousand contacts. I deactivated it last year with the intention of reactivating it later. When I tried to recover it on LinkedIn, I couldn't find an option. I ended up creating a new account ([redacted]) and am slowly rebuilding my contact list. I have two requests: A) Can my old account ([redacted]) be reactivated and merged with the new one ([redacted])? Please verify that the names, companies, and profiles are the same. I want to merge the contacts without losing any. B) I also have an old profile under my name created about a decade ago (Rajesh Pan, Retail Manager) with no contacts. I forgot the email used to create it. I want to delete it to avoid unnecessary search results but can't due to the lack of information. I would appreciate help with these requests. Dear LinkedIn, I am unable to afford the fees associated with being a premium member. Therefore, I do not wish to participate in the free trial offer, as I am concerned about being charged once the trial period ends. Please unsubscribe me from this offer. Thank you. Hello, my name is Jeff Danish and I have been a LinkedIn member for 11 years. I am a paying customer. My email for login is [redacted] I suspect my account has been hacked as I received a request to verify my identity four times with my driver's license, but I still can't access my account. I have reviewed all the policies and believe I have done nothing wrong. As a premium member who is currently unemployed, not being able to access my account for the past five days is concerning, especially since I have put effort into building a network of 15,[redacted] connections over the years. I have various important contacts in my network including family, friends, prospects, clients, and coworkers. I need help regaining access to my account promptly as I rely on it for job searches and communication with recruiters in my network. My email is [redacted], and my cell number is [redacted]. It appears that a misunderstanding with a connection regarding a health product led to this issue. I am not a scammer but someone looking for job opportunities. I have provided my driver's license multiple times and have not heard back. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter as soon as possible to avoid disruption to my job search. Thank you. Best regards, Jeff Danish.

I've had my LinkedIn account for many years, with over [redacted] contacts and a profile picture. Despite this, I keep receiving connection requests from people I'm already connected with. These requests show my name but have no picture and list locations where I don't live. Some examples are a regional manager at Synaptive in Houston, one in Los Angeles with the same title, and most recently, one as a surgical navigation specialist for META Dynamic. I've been blocking these new accounts, but they keep appearing. I'm considering deleting my entire account if this issue persists. I'm currently job hunting and need to use my network effectively, but I'll have to leave LinkedIn altogether if I can't stop these incorrect accounts from showing up.

The comments on this post from three weeks ago seem to have disappeared, and I did not disable them. I have compiled a list of current Australian "legal innovation" law school courses with my former clinical legal education student, Michael Lacey, throughout this year. If you are a law student, legal technology developer, involved in legal education, a law firm interested in graduates' training, or simply curious about digital disruption in professional services and how higher education supports "innovation," you might find this information valuable. The report includes a list of law schools offering these courses, a brief description of the courses, statistics on the different types of courses available, observations on the total number of courses and students enrolled, insights on the trend's growth and collaborations between universities, the legal profession, and technology providers, as well as alternative ways for graduates to acquire relevant skills. If you mention our work, please provide proper attribution. We are also open to discussing our research and findings and welcome constructive feedback. I am having difficulty resetting my LinkedIn password because I don't have access to the linked email. Even after going through the "forgot password" process on LinkedIn and trying to update my contact email, I am stuck because they send the verification link to the inaccessible email. This makes it impossible for me to reset my password and update the email linked to my account. It would be helpful if LinkedIn had two separate email fields - one to locate the account and another to send the password reset link to.

I suspect that my account has been compromised. Here is the series of events: 1. I received an email confirming a password change yesterday around 3pm. 2. As I did not initiate this change, I promptly attempted to reset my password. 3. After successfully changing it, I noticed that my profile picture and name had been altered to "Roberta Long-Kelleher." 4. I reached out for assistance on correcting the picture but have not received a response yet. 5. This morning (10/11), I was notified by Linkedin of another successful password change. 6. Upon trying to log in, I am met with an error stating my email address ([redacted]) is unrecognized. 7. I am currently job hunting and rely on LinkedIn for communication with HR contacts. 8. If needed, you can contact me via mobile at [redacted]. Thank you for your help.

I am experiencing the following issues ever since I added a Gmail address as my secondary email on LinkedIn, while my primary email remains with Yahoo: 1. I am unable to view my profile information. 2. Replying to messages on LinkedIn from my Yahoo account results in an error message stating the reply could not be sent. Despite multiple attempts at different times, my replies are not going through. I have a monthly subscription of $29.99, and LinkedIn has not been functioning properly for me for the past few months. I intend to request a refund since encountering this problem since August. I hope to hear from LinkedIn soon as this situation is truly frustrating. Wisam K. [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

Hello, today I learned about LinkedIn and decided to create an account. Unfortunately, I mistakenly used @yahoo.com instead of @gmail.com for my email. I tried to correct this by uploading the correct email, [redacted], but couldn't set it as primary. I then attempted to delete my account to start over, but now I can't log in because it says the email is already in use. I discovered that [redacted] was available, so I created accounts for both Yahoo and Gmail. I am seeking assistance to reactivate the [redacted] account as I am currently locked out. Thank you for your help.

Dear Community Members, I have encountered a distressing situation where my identity has been compromised by an individual repeatedly setting up accounts in my name. The most recent incident involves a LinkedIn account under the name "Neal Sutz" affiliated with the company "Special Needs" in Gilbert, Arizona. Despite having moved out of Gilbert last year, the unauthorized access to my personal information continues. I am actively collaborating with authorities at both the state and federal level to address the hacking and cloning of my social media accounts, email, and phone number. The recurrence of this violation, especially through LinkedIn, is immensely troubling. I am seeking assistance in identifying the email address associated with this fraudulent account. I am prepared to provide my Arizona Driver's License or US Passport to verify my identity and address this urgent matter promptly. As a writer and journalist, this ongoing breach seriously jeopardizes my livelihood and reputation. Any support or guidance you can offer during this challenging time would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Neal S.

Hello, I took advantage of the free month of Premium, which ended on August 28th. Around two or three days after this date, I attempted to cancel the service on the website because it did not benefit me. Initially, I had trouble figuring out how to cancel. After many attempts, I eventually managed to cancel the service, but it was already 6 or 7 days late. I am kindly requesting a refund for the $49.99 charge that was billed to my Discover account on Aug. 28th. I did not use or benefit from the Premium service. Furthermore, it has been a difficult few months. We incurred expenses of over $[redacted] on veterinary services and medications in an effort to keep one of our rescue dogs alive. Sadly, we had to spend an additional $[redacted] on euthanizing him at home on Sept. 14th. Your assistance and understanding would mean a lot to me. Thank you, G.D.

I signed up for the platinum membership one-month free trial but struggled to cancel it before being charged for October. On the 3rd, I found the cancellation link under the FAQ, making the process easier than trying through my settings. I successfully cancelled on the 3rd, yet was still charged $32 on the 4th. I am unsure if the cancellation delay caused this, but I shouldn't be a premium member for October. I am requesting a refund for October or a prorated amount. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Looking forward to your response. - T.A.
