On November *, ****, I purchased what I expected was a powered reclining sofa from the branch store in Farmingdale Long Island. The salesman, John Matalevich, spent about * patient hours with me that day.**I finally made my decision of which powered reclining sofa I wanted to purchase. He wrote out the sales receipt with the following information:*Vend*Sku:**Model:**Cover:**Description:***** *******A**********RE*******JAMESRECSOFA STEEL**We reviewed the order and he explained to me my purchase. I asked how he knew it was a powered model, since the word “powered” was not on the sales slip. He assured me that it was the powered model, that the Vend*Sku & model information indicated a powered sofa. I trusted him and left in anxious anticipation for my new sofa.**My original delivery date was March *, ****. Around March *, ****, I hadn’t heard about the delivery, so I called only to find out it was pushed to early May. Neither John, nor anyone, had the courtesy to call and let me know about the delay.**In early May I called again, and they said the delivery was postponed to late May. Again, no phone call alerting me to the delivery delay.**I finally did get a call that my sofa was in and I had it delivered on May **, ****. The Delivery men brought in the bottom and I immediately saw it was a manual sofa, not the powered sofa I ordered. I said it was the wrong sofa and they said it was the right one, pointing to their delivery ticket, which matched my sales receipt.**I immediately called and spoke to John Matalevich, who said that the manual recliner was what I wanted. I told him it was not, that I wanted a powered reclining sofa. He doubled-down saying that the manual model is what I wanted. I, as the customer, know what I wanted, what I ordered, and what I expected.**I then spoke to Diane, the store manager, and she tried to accommodate me, but alas, she was unable to assist in correcting John Matalevich’s error.
