I applied yesterday over the phone for the LL Bean credit card and was approved. I was told to wait for some number of business days and that I could not use it for an online order. However, the reason I applied was because your agent said I could use the card immediately if I called into the catalog department. I wanted the free*shipping and other benefits now. So when I called in today I was told no, I could not use the card. I then was to be transferred to someone in customer services for help, but that call was dropped. I then called directly into customer service and talked with an agent who confirmed that perhaps Citibank gave me the wrong information and she too was to transfer me to someone for help and that call too was dropped. So now I am writing this all down. I would not have applied for the card had I not been told I could use it via a phone call. I at least want to get free shipping, if you can't help in any other way.
GetHuman-divscu did not yet indicate what LL Bean should do to make this right.
