Hello My Name is Janelle Ross and my phone number is ***-***-****. This problem is concerning the facility at **** IL-**, Plainfield, IL ***** I want to start off with saying how I am more than just unsatisfied with the "assistant general manager" Kim (that's what she told me her title was) and Devon who transferred me to her only after HE LIED the second time I called back saying no manager was on staff. Only after I told Devon I just talked to Kim when I initially called then he said ok let me transfer you. The above happened today May **th **** Saturday at *:**am. So I called last night which was May **th **** Friday at around *:**pm Carlos said the manager will be in today May **th and they will be able to issue the refund for my Annual Fee (THAT NO ONE EVER TOLD ME ABOUT WOULD BE WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER I JOINED THE MEMBERSHIP) with no problem he even went on to say he would do it for me but he doesn't have the password and the facility is closing in **minutes. Back to today again I called twice this morning first time Kim said she was the manager and my instincts told me not to talk to her because I remember what the The Real Manager looks and sounds like but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. So besides telling me she can't and won't issue my refund and neither will corporate but I can try calling corporate. So I ask for the number having common sense I asked her are you sure corporate is open today Saturday aren't they only open Monday through Friday she said no they come in at *am on Saturday. I said okay I tried to call corporate after finishing the call with her and you all were closed and only available Monday through Friday as I suspected. After I called back the second time I asked to speak to KIM again DEVON lied and said there was no manager on staff I told him I just talk to her then he transferred me. I told her I want to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP with L.A. Fitness because I do not appreciate all the lies and misleading and the way they are doing business. Kim them said okay SHE will cancel my membership on Monday. I asked why Monday KIM said only the operational manager (DOUG she said his name was) can cancel memberships I said he is probably the only one that can issue refunds too. And Kim said yes that is correct so EVEN MORE SO SHE WAS LYING TO ME THE WHOLE TIME ACTING LIKE SHE EVEN HAD THE POWER TO ISSUE ME A REFUND IN THE FIRST I LEARNED THAT I HAD WASTED ALL MY TIME TALKING TO HER TO BEGIN WITH IF SHE WAS HONEST AND SAID TO JUST CALL THE OPERATIONAL MANAGER MONDAY ALL THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS LETTER AND I WOULD NOT BE CANCELING MY MEMBERSHIP I JUST HAD IT FROZE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO FOR ** DOLLARS A MONTH UNTIL I COULD START USING THE FACILITY REGULARLY AGAIN AND NOT CONSTANTLY GETTING CHARGED $**.** A MONTH WHEN I'M NOT GOING AS MUCH. UP UNTIL TODAY I ENJOYED L.A. FITNESS THERE. The people who make the protein shakes are always nice and pleasant to talk to, the place is clean and it was a nice place to workout at. I even got my sister to join I was telling people I knew good things about it. So up until today intended on staying with L.A. Fitness but Now I am asking you Corporate to please not only Issue my refund of $**.** for the fee I was never told about and for all the lies of your staff at this facility and all the insulting of my intelligence. I will never step foot in the L.A. fitness after today because I am just so hurt from all the lies and feel taken advantage of.
