I want to address my recent experience with the employees at the gym. Their unprofessional and rude behavior, coupled with hypocrisy regarding the legal guardian situation, was disappointing. I found it unnecessary for them to insist on 12 referrals to bypass their rules, and their demand for a court order instead of accepting a notarized letter from the parents was frustrating. The most upsetting part was the complete lack of respect shown by both the front desk staff and their manager, who justified their behavior as standard practice. This encounter has made me reconsider joining the gym, and I will continue my membership at Blink Fitness. It is crucial for the employees and manager to undergo better customer relations training, as laughing at a customer is unacceptable in any professional setting.

I have been a member of La Fitness for nearly 20 years and have always had a positive experience with their customer service. However, on March 24th, I encountered an issue at the location on the 17th street causeway in Fort Lauderdale. When I tried to scan my bar code from the back of my driver's license, the front desk clerk, Jason, refused to let me enter. I explained to Jason that I had been a regular at this location for 3 years and had never faced any problems using my bar code. Despite showing Jason my photo ID with all my information, he still declined me entry. I asked for the corporate phone number, which Jason initially hesitated to provide, and also for his full name, but he only gave me his first name. Jason finally allowed me in after I provided my phone number and ID, proving my membership. I believe Jason's behavior was unprofessional and unnecessary. When I requested the corporate phone number, he provided me with the wrong number. I felt unfairly treated by Jason and his actions were unwarranted. Thank you, Nicholas Tagliarini

My wife and I are LA Fitness members. We initially joined due to the convenient location and facilities but couldn't finish our sessions due to scheduling issues with our trainer. No reminders were provided, and we've now moved to a location without an LA Fitness nearby. We are still paying the monthly fee to keep our account active, which doesn't seem fair since we can't use the membership. We've calculated the amount spent on unused sessions and monthly fees, totaling $[redacted]. We hope for a refund considering the circumstances. I also referred a friend to LA Fitness, but I had to relocate for work. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

During a Water Aerobics class on 3/25 at LA Fitness in South Ozone Park, Queens NY, an incident occurred between Kelly, the Operations Manager, and a lifeguard. The confrontation over wearing a shirt escalated into a heated argument in front of members, leading to the pool being closed. This caused inconvenience by crowding the shower, sauna, and locker rooms. There are concerns about the manager's handling of personnel issues, cleanliness of the pool, adherence to DOH Guidelines, and the overall impact on members. Proper training and guidelines are necessary for addressing such issues discreetly and maintaining a positive environment for members.

Since my family joined in February, I was informed that additional yoga classes would be included in the schedule by late February as new instructors were being recruited. It is now late March, and there are still only two classes on Thursdays, the same number since I joined, with no new ones added. Furthermore, the daycare facility is below standard, with a persistent odor of feces. The staff appear preoccupied with personal tasks such as using their phones or conversing with colleagues, neglecting to supervise the children adequately. Babies are left unattended on the floor, crying without comfort. My children have fallen ill 3-4 times from this daycare alone, prompting concerns about the cleanliness practices. Despite attempting to approach the manager for a resolution, I have not received any response. I am thoroughly disappointed and at a loss for what to do next.

My girlfriend and I joined Aurora LA Fitness but found it too crowded and struggled to park, making our workouts challenging. I decided to cancel my membership due to these issues and switch to a smaller gym. However, when I requested a refund for the $[redacted].84 I paid, the manager only offered $86. I wasn't at the gym for even a full month and feel I should receive a more substantial refund. I'm willing to pay for the time I used the gym, even if it was only two weeks. I have noticed that my local LA Fitness club offers volleyball on Wednesdays, but there have been several instances in the past year (5 that I can recall) where we were unable to play due to the staff being unable to find the keys to open the storage where the net is kept. About a month ago, they mentioned that the manager had taken the key home, which was the only copy they had, and they assured they would make more copies to prevent this issue from happening again. Unfortunately, today, the same manager took the key home once more. I would appreciate it if a corporate manager could contact me to discuss today's events further. It is disappointing to encounter employees with poor customer service skills who seem inconvenienced rather than showing empathy. I am employed at the Kids Klub in LA Fitness Signature Club in Pittsburgh, PA (Bakery Square). On Tuesday, 3/26/[redacted], I was scheduled to work. Unfortunately, my boyfriend had an emergency open-heart surgery and is currently in ICU. Without my car due to repairs, I have had to rely on the bus for transportation to the hospital daily, for a total of 7 days. Regrettably, due to the stress, fatigue, and being disoriented from my routine, I mistakenly boarded the wrong bus to the hospital. I promptly informed my manager and coworker about the situation, expressing my apologies for the short notice. I assured them I would make it in the next day. To my surprise, I was terminated by my manager and banned from using the gym for 3 months. I reacted in the heat of the moment out of shock and distress, overlapping with my boyfriend's critical condition. I find it perplexing that while a colleague of mine once forgot to work and did not face termination, my situation resulted in immediate dismissal. I had an unpleasant experience at Doral club when a staff member blew me a kiss. This behavior constituted unwanted attention, sexual harassment, discrimination, and public humiliation. To my dismay, the manager on duty defended the employee and asked me to leave. Despite being a long-time member, I feel the need for a thorough investigation and discussion with the involved employee is necessary. I am considering legal action and have contacted David Rubin PA for guidance. I urge LA Fitness to address this issue by reprimanding the employee and holding the management accountable for their lack of disciplinary action.

As a member of LA Fitness in Fort Worth, Texas, I wanted to share my recent experience with a personal trainer, Fumba D. When scheduling my complimentary session, Fumba was not very friendly and tried to arrange a time that suited him more than me. During our session, he seemed disinterested, complained about his day and knee surgery, and made inappropriate comments about my fitness goals. I feel his attitude is not suitable for the club. Additionally, there have been sightings of cockroaches in the pool area, and the women's bathrooms and locker rooms are not clean and have a persistent smell. These are my concerns about LA Fitness at [redacted] Altamesa Blvd, Fort Worth, TX.

Hello, I am a long-time member of the gym, previously from Bally's. I generally keep to myself, attending the gym for about an hour or two and then heading home. However, on Sunday, March 31st, [redacted], when I went for my usual AMY's body works class, a woman approached me and started touching and making comments about my weight, specifically in my hips and legs. I was deeply upset by her actions as she overstepped boundaries by giving unsolicited weight loss advice. As someone who has gone through significant weight loss and personal loss, such remarks are unwelcome and hurtful. I expressed my discomfort to her, but her behavior was unacceptable. I don't wish to encounter her again at the gym due to this incident. I trust that the gym management will address this matter promptly to ensure that such actions are not repeated with other members. I had a distressing experience at your gym a couple of months ago. I was verbally assaulted by a staff member and have since received hate letters, and my car was vandalized. The regional manager seemed ineffective in handling the situation, as she was misled by the employee who mistreated me. Even after this incident, the employee was allowed to continue working, making me uncomfortable to visit the gym. I have not been back for over a week due to my car being targeted continuously. I have tried contacting multiple times to cancel my membership and receive confirmation, but my emails have gone unanswered. I am a member at PETALUMA CITY SPORTS and have submitted the cancellation forms. I just need confirmation that my membership has been terminated. Your lack of response is disappointing considering the circumstances.

I joined LA Fitness because it was an adult fitness club with access to the pool for swimming. However, the recent addition of the British Swim School has disrupted the peaceful environment I used to enjoy. The pool used to have 3 lanes, but now it's down to 2 due to the kids' classes. As someone who works with children all day, I was seeking a place for quiet and relaxation during my workout, not to be surrounded by children's noises and pool accidents. The decision to prioritize profit over the needs of adult members has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I will be looking for a new fitness club that caters more to adult clientele. The British Swim School should consider relocating to a more suitable facility like the Y, as this arrangement has negatively impacted the experience for adult members like myself. This change has made exercise, which should be a stress-reliever, into a source of irritation and discomfort. I won't be recommending L.A. Fitness to others based on this experience. My husband (R.A.) and I enrolled on 2/28/19, and our son is also a member at Skye. Since signing up, I’ve developed a relationship with the salesman, B. at the Levittown, New York location. Despite my husband's discomfort with the locker room atmosphere, I asked B. if I could cancel his membership if needed, to which he agreed. However, I later received a call from A. saying charges would continue. After reminding B. of our conversation, he mentioned speaking with the manager. Despite several attempts to reach him, I did not receive a response regarding the cancellation of my husband’s membership. I intend to send a cancellation form, with Barcode s636651, by mail on 4/5/19, requesting only my husband's membership to be terminated while keeping mine and our son’s active.

I recently noticed unauthorized fees on my credit card statement from my gym. Upon contacting them, the General Sales Manager directed me to talk to the Operations Manager for billing concerns. After numerous attempts, the OM claimed the GSM should handle it. However, the GSM refused to refund the charges citing they were authorized by my sister. I then confirmed with my sister who normally pays cash for her membership. Frustrated, I involved my bank in the matter. This recurring billing issue highlights the incompetence of the GSM in handling such matters effectively.

I have been a member of the LA Fitness at Old Weston Road & Keele in Toronto, Ontario, Canada since it opened. I wish to express my dissatisfaction with this location: 1. The facility is often dirty, with visible dirt on the floor near the machines. 2. The change rooms are in poor condition, lockers are rarely cleaned, and showers remain dirty for days. 3. The walkways leading to the building are icy and not salted, causing difficulties for older individuals. 4. Equipment is not put back in place at night, leading to inconvenience for early morning gym-goers like me. 5. The training staff, aside from the front desk, are sometimes unfriendly, focusing more on their cell phones than assisting struggling members. 6. The mirrors are consistently dirty and seem to be poorly maintained. Despite the convenience of this gym's location, I am disappointed by its lack of cleanliness and upkeep.

I believe the staff at the LA Fitness located at [redacted] N Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA [redacted] needs to improve their customer service, especially the front desk clerks. When I enter the gym, it is frustrating to be ignored by the staff who seem more focused on their phones rather than greeting customers and assisting them with scanning their passes. A friendly hello and some help can go a long way in creating a positive atmosphere for members. Small gestures like these can greatly impact one's day, especially when trying to stay motivated while working out.

I signed up over a week ago and was told the monthly fee would be $24.99 with no additional charges. However, my sister's card was mistakenly charged $74.98 instead of $24.99. I spoke to the Operations Manager, Megan, who acknowledged the error and advised me to speak to the representative, Paul, who signed me up. Paul assured me the refund would be processed to my sister's card. Despite my attempts to reach Paul for further assistance, my calls were not returned, and he was unavailable when I visited the gym. When my sister followed up with Megan regarding the refund, reassurances were made but not fulfilled. Numerous attempts to address this issue have been met with unresponsiveness and excuses, leading to a disappointing customer service experience. I am hoping for a prompt resolution and a refund to be processed to the correct card on file.

Hello, my name is Amy Carrillo, and I recently enrolled at LA Fitness in January. I was offered a promotion allowing me to add a family member to my account for $29 per month for both of us. I paid the first and last month fees upon signing up. However, I have encountered issues with undisclosed annual fees and unauthorized charges. Although initially, I was only billed as agreed, I am now being charged additional fees that were not part of the original deal. The sales representative, Alberto, at the LA Fitness in North Hollywood provided inaccurate information and failed to mention these extra costs. Despite addressing the problem with him, he denied the misinformation provided during the sign-up process. I am disappointed by this lack of transparency and need prompt assistance to resolve this matter to avoid canceling my membership. Thank you.
