At the Poplar Bluff, MO. Kroger store you consistently do not have the products advertised in the weekly ad. There are either empty shelves, or employees say the item(s) are out of stock, & not available. I have had to make up to * trips for * item, and once, after * trips to buy a certain brand of chips an employee told me the store did not even carry the advertised sale item. Why did they make excuses like it was temporarily out of stock when they knew they did not carry it? That would have saved me those trips across town. (They could at least be honest with me the *st time I asked, or the *nd time I went there, but I made * trips for an item the store does not even carry that was advertised at a good price to draw me into the store). Today, I wanted to buy the ** cents per pound turkey breast. The very helpful employee took me to the meat case where turkey breast was usually stocked but another product (chicken breast) had replaced the turkey breast usually stocked that space. She said I could get a rain check from the manager at the front desk. I asked the manager for a rain check & was informed that "it was store policy not to give rain checks on Thursday,Friday,Saturday sales". I was told the truck would be in tonight & the turkey breast would be available Friday. Why do your managers not plan to have the products you advertise available on the dates they are on sale? Do they not know what the Kroger Company plans to advertise for sales in their store the next week? Maybe it's an issue with communication? All I know is that from a customer's perspective your Poplar Bluff Mo. Kroger makes no effort to have the merchandise for sale that is advertised. I'm very tired of this tactic of internet ads and in-store ads from your company that do not have the goods you use as loss leaders to create traffic in your store. I am beginning to feel you are tricking me & I've been a faithful customer for many years. Thank you for your attention to this issue & for your time and consideration of my on-going problem. I will go back to Kroger b*t **a.m. & noon tomorrow, again, to get the turkey breast. I hope you actually have it for sale.
