I have been shopping in your store (Nordahl Marketplace in San Marcos, CA) regularly for the past year throughout the pandemic. It has been like a breath of fresh air (literally) to be able to freely shop in your store without a mask. Employees are always friendly, and no one has ever once asked me to wear a mask. I have a disability and carry my doctors exemption with me. I have been so happy that I can shop in your store and feel like a "normal" person without anyone harassing me. No one had shown any discrimination towards me until today. I had some Amazon returns to drop off, and then I was going to buy new shoes for my family. A few minutes into my Amazon returns, the employee noticed that I didn't have a mask on. She was fully masked and standing behind the plexiglass. There weren't any other customers around us, or in line behind me. She told me that I must wear a mask and tried to give me one. I politely let her know that I have a condition ( i told her what it is even though its against my HIPPA rights) and I told her that I shop in her store weekly and she is the first person to mention it. Even after telling her about my disability, she still insisted that I wear a mask, told me that there is a sign on the door, and then proceeded to tell me that I have to wear a mask in ALL stores. I again mentioned my disability and asked her what guidelines she is following, since the CDC has changed the mask mandate. She replied, " well, we make up our own rules and you can't shop in here without a mask!" I finished my returns and left your store. I will not be returning if you continue to require your disabled customers to wear a mask, which goes against the CDC guidelines. I went to TJ Maxx and made my purchases, without any harassment from anyone.
