I own a KitchenAid dishwasher model KDTE334GPS0 with the serial number F[redacted]1. The previous homeowners purchased it in [redacted], and it's still under the 5-year warranty for electronic controls. Recently, the dishwasher started quitting shortly after starting a cycle. After troubleshooting on a DIY forum, it seemed the issue might be with the control board or circulating pump. I decided to replace the control board, following guidance from the forum. The repair went smoothly, and the dishwasher is now working perfectly. I reached out to KitchenAid for reimbursement for the faulty part since it's covered under warranty. Unfortunately, they insisted I needed to pay a certified technician $[redacted] for diagnosis, which I found unnecessary given the circumstances. Despite replacing the part correctly myself, KitchenAid refuses to reimburse me. Their lack of cooperation is disappointing, especially when trying to solve the issue on my own due to concerns about the quality of the recommended technician service.

I bought this refrigerator from Home Depot in late October last year. By January, I noticed issues with food spoilage and the ice maker stopped functioning. Even after two technician visits, the problem persists due to a supposed rat issue, which I dispute. I recently discovered the fridge has been sitting in Home Depot since [redacted], raising concerns about its quality. I do not wish to buy a new one and seek assistance in obtaining the replacement part (compressor) from you, allowing me to arrange for a different technician to handle the repairs. I am willing to sign any agreement releasing you from future obligations. I appreciate any help you can provide. Model: KRMF706ESS01 S/N: K[redacted]1

I am incredibly frustrated with my new Kitchen Aid Model # KOSE [redacted] EBS Range because it is not turning on. The phone support from Kitchen Aid has been utterly unhelpful. When I called, the automated system only offered services and parts, but no actual product support. Despite providing my information like zip code and address multiple times, I couldn't get the assistance I needed. Even the website directed me to a toaster manual instead of the correct one for my range. This lack of customer service will definitely impact my future appliance purchases from Kitchen Aid, as well as those of my business contacts and friends who I regularly assist with home appliances.

I purchased a kitchen model KECC667B5501 with serial number D[redacted]9 on February 10, [redacted]. On Saturday, October 9, [redacted], while cooking rice on the stove, I noticed the glass top was disintegrating with small holes. I have been using glass top cookers for over 20 years and have never experienced this issue. I am reaching out for assistance as the store where I bought it no longer deals with this brand. I need a prompt solution as I cannot use such an expensive item in this condition. I have photos, proof of purchase, and an address in the United States. Please advise me on what steps to take next. Thank you.

Good afternoon, My name is Stefanie M., and I am a Culinary Arts teacher at Johnsonburg Area Junior/Senior High School. I have been teaching for 13 years, but this is my first year teaching Culinary Arts. Johnsonburg, a rural town in Northwest Pennsylvania, has a population of just over 2,[redacted] people. The Culinary Arts room is outdated, and today, while making cookies, only one group had success due to having an old KitchenAid Stand Mixer. The other groups were frustrated and even considered bringing their own mixers from home. I am in need of six new KitchenAid Stand Mixers to help my students produce high-quality meals. I was hoping to inquire about any grants, coupons, or programs that could assist with the cost. Any support would be greatly appreciated to enhance the learning experience for our students in this small town.

I received a KitchenAid hand mixer the day before Thanksgiving [redacted]. I have not used it yet because one of the beaters will not insert. I do not want it repaired and I don't think I should pay $1.00 for advice. This mixer arrived without a receipt or proof of purchase, except for my card statement. The company did not reach out to see if I was satisfied, as most companies do. This is a brand new, never used mixer. I am disappointed with KitchenAid! I have tried to contact KitchenAid without success.

I've been struggling to get help with replacing a light bulb in my microwave oven. The bulb in the parts catalogue costs $60 or more, whereas service companies quote it at $90, while I know it typically costs just $3 to $4 at Home Depot. Despite spending hours on the phone with KitchenAid/Whirlpool, mostly on hold, I received no assistance. Instead, I was wrongly told I needed a qualified technician for such a simple task, implying it could lead to an accident. Refusing to pay $[redacted] for this service, I bought a $7 pack of bulbs and successfully replaced it with a friend. This experience was frustrating, and I will not recommend KitchenAid products. If GetHuman is not affiliated with KitchenAid, please forward my feedback to them.

I purchased a KCO255BM toaster oven on Amazon on March 8, [redacted]. Unfortunately, the heating element is no longer functioning properly, not reaching the required temperature on either the bake or broil cycle. With a Christmas party approaching, I was relying on this oven as my backup, but it seems I only have one working oven now. I've been trying to address this issue over the phone since 10:00 AM this morning, and it is now 3:30 PM. The waiting times have been long, with multiple dropped calls and being transferred to the wrong departments. I am extremely frustrated and in urgent need of a resolution. Please, I hope someone can assist me with this promptly. - Maureen V., [redacted], 33 Pickering Drive, Bella Vista, AR [redacted].

I own a KitchenAid microwave oven combination (model KNHC) that has various functions like convection, bake, roast, and crisp. However, the directions provided with it are insufficient. I am looking for detailed instructions on how to use these features. The manual mentions a crisper pan, but it was not included in the package. Can I purchase the crisper pan separately? Thank you. -Nancy M.

We ordered the KSEG700ESS on 7/26/[redacted], expecting an 8-week lead time, but have now waited over 27 weeks with no updates. Despite being told to expect 10-12 weeks, each week the delivery date just keeps getting pushed back at our purchasing location. Our kitchen remodel is done, all Kitchenaid appliances are in except the range. Kitchenaid’s website says 2/11 for delivery if purchased directly from them, though I’m skeptical. Can our order be switched from Bond's to Kitchenaid if they have it in stock? I desperately need an updated ETA or even a partial refund for this long delay. My family of four is struggling without a range during this stressful time. Ordered from Bond's Appliance in Guntersville, AL at [redacted].

I have been a proud owner of KitchenAid double wall ovens since late December [redacted], model KODC304ESS01. However, I have encountered issues with a toxic smell emitted while using the ovens. Despite running them for extended periods with windows open as advised, the smell persisted. After speaking with customer service, I was instructed to clean the interior of the ovens with warm soapy water, which was not mentioned in the manual or previous interactions. The smell has caused discomfort and health issues for myself and my sister. During a recent service visit, it was discovered that the upper broiler element was missing a screw, contributing to the ongoing issue. The noxious burn-off smell continues even after attempting to use the broiler. The temperature fluctuations and persistent smell are concerning for my health and well-being.

Subject: Issue with KitchenAid Built-In Refrigerator - Model No. KBSD606ESS01 To whom it may concern, I purchased a KitchenAid built-in refrigerator model number KBSD606ESS01 on July 3, [redacted], from P.C. Richard & Son located at [redacted] Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY. After delivery on August 8, [redacted], I registered the appliance on the same day. Unfortunately, I have encountered ongoing issues with the refrigerator's performance. Throughout its warranty period, a service technician named Justin replaced the ice cube maker due to excessive noise and adjusted the refrigerator side door for alignment, as it was causing noises when opened. The drawers have consistently failed to close properly since the appliance was received. Additionally, I am dissatisfied with the cost of the extended warranties for this model. The recent quote for a three-year plan amounting to $5,[redacted].85 seems exorbitant and raises concerns about the product's reliability. Presently, all LED lights on the freezer side have malfunctioned, necessitating the use of a flashlight to locate items. Furthermore, one LED light in the refrigerator compartment is not functioning. Despite my attempt to address these issues by contacting KitchenAid's Customer Service Department for built-ins on August 11th, I have yet to receive the promised confirmation email from the representative, April. Given the persistent troubles I have experienced with this refrigerator, I am reaching out to request a satisfactory resolution, whether through repairs, replacement, or a refund, to avoid escalating the matter further. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am disappointed that Jennifer Garner distributed KitchenAids to individuals who may not have needed them. I observed that the recipients seemed to be financially comfortable, unlike many less fortunate individuals who would have truly benefited. I have had a KitchenAid for years and would have appreciated the opportunity to own one like the model given to her. Your company thrives not solely due to celebrities, but also because of loyal customers like myself who have supported your brand through thick and thin, even when owning a KitchenAid seemed out of reach.

The ice maker in our 4-year-old side-by-side refrigerator has stopped working. We had a repair technician from Kitchen Aid come out (Impact Appliance on December 7, [redacted]), and he quoted us over $1,[redacted] for the repair, including parts and labor, as we require a new freezer door. The issue lies in the wiring to the door, which is not fixable. We believe Kitchen Aid should cover the repair costs due to this design flaw in an otherwise expensive refrigerator. I bought a KitchenAid refrigerator on September 25, [redacted], along with other KitchenAid appliances totaling over $10,[redacted]. The specific appliance in question is a KitchenAid 5-drawer model KRMF706ESS01 with serial number K[redacted]2. The LED board and crisper board were previously replaced under an extended warranty. I now need to replace the main/motherboard at my own expense since the factory warranty does not cover this part, and my extended warranty expired three months ago. It seems like I bought a faulty appliance and I am disappointed that after spending so much money on KitchenAid products, I am now facing this issue.

I own a Kitchen Aid built-in oven/microwave that is 4 years old, model # KOCE500ESS, serial # D[redacted]7. On December 22, [redacted], while the oven was on the self-clean cycle, the inside glass shattered after about 2 1/2 hours. I quickly stopped the cleaning cycle. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the glass shattered into thousands of shards. I took a photo of the oven after it was safe to open, which I can provide. The customer service team scheduled a repair appointment on January 10th with WFCC Diamond Factory Service, stating that the repair cost would not be covered. I suspect a major malfunction may have occurred, possibly due to an overheated heating element, a faulty thermostat, or issues with the glass. I believe Kitchen Aid should take responsibility for replacing the oven/microwave unit instead of just replacing the glass. Despite my attempts to reach out to Kitchen Aid, I was on hold for over 25 minutes without any assistance. As a former home economics teacher, I have always taken good care of my appliances and have trusted Kitchen Aid products in the past. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - L. D.

Dear KitchenAid Team, I recently discovered through independent scientific testing that your cast aluminum paddles and attachments, which come with the stand mixers, contain unsafe levels of Lead. As a parent who uses this mixer with my children, I am concerned about the potential health risks associated with Lead exposure. I believe this information should have been disclosed on the packaging when I purchased the mixer, as I would not have chosen this product for my family had I known about the Lead contamination. Given that there is no safe level of Lead exposure for children, I urge KitchenAid to stop selling Lead-contaminated products and provide a free replacement set of Lead-free stainless steel attachments to customers like myself. I understand that you have already taken this step for other concerned customers, and I kindly request that you extend this offer to me as well. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, K.F.

Dear KitchenAid, As a loyal customer, I received a KitchenAid stand mixer as a gift in [redacted]. I use it regularly to prepare meals for my family. Recently, independent scientific testing revealed that KitchenAid's cast aluminum paddles and attachments that come with the stand mixers contain unsafe levels of Lead. This information was not disclosed when I received the mixer, and I am concerned as I often cook with my children using this appliance. I urge KitchenAid to stop selling Lead-contaminated products aimed at families and provide free stainless steel attachments as a safe alternative. Many other mothers share these concerns and expect KitchenAid to prioritize safety in their products. -AC

I cleaned my 3-year-old built-in microwave/oven and discovered blue glass shards, indicating the blue enamel inside is deteriorating near the heating unit/fan. Concerned about the self-cleaning feature's integrity, I refuse to use it. Many others have reported similar issues. KitchenAid's offer of 40% off a new model seems inadequate since the current one is discontinued but still sold. Their suggested service call for $98 with uncertain outcomes is unappealing. KitchenAid mentioned a touch-up paint solution, while the parts department denies its existence, causing confusion. Repeated calls to parts led to long holds and disconnections, making it a frustrating experience. Wondering if it's time to give up on resolving the issue with this company.

We bought a counter depth fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave from Sears along with an extended warranty. A repairman came to fix our oven, which wasn't igniting, and his suggestion was to unplug and plug it back in whenever it happens. It seems odd that this would be the solution for a new appliance. Unfortunately, he didn't resolve the issue, and to this day, we still have to start the oven by running the broiler first. I expected better from Sears and the products they sell. Perhaps they should vet their sellers more carefully. Despite this oven issue, I am satisfied with the other appliances. Regards, K. Valentino
