April **** I purchased a new Soul for my wife at Werner Kia of Tallahassee, FL. It now has less than **** miles and not a scratch on it. On Sept.** we were in Valdosta GA on personal business. It was late afternoon, pouring rain and quite dark causing poor visibility. We stopped at a gas station to fill up before driving home. Tha gas staion had uneven pavement and we drove over a bump. We heard a loud "bang*bump" and then a loud dragging metallic noise. Our speed was only *-** mph as we were just pulling away from the gas pump. We, of course, immediately stopped, I got out in the heavy rain and looked under the car. The entire exhaust*tail-pipe was hanging down! We were over *** miles from Tallahassee, I knew Langdale Kia in Valdosta was about *-* miles away. We decided to drive to them, dragging the fallen parts. The service writer (Bryan) put the car on a lift and called us in to show us the problem. We were then informed the replacement parts would be about $**** plus labor totaling about $**** AND it would not be covered by warranty! We called Werner where we bought the car and they told us to get a tow truck and get the car to them and they would fix it. We checked and a tow would cost us $***. We then called our insurance carrier (USAA), they said it would be covered , less our $*** deductible plus a rental car. They would send out an adjuster. The adjuster never did come ou but request pictures be sent to him. This took several days for Langdale*Bryan to get back and forth with the Adjuster (Ramon?). This is now Oct.* and the work is still not done, the car is sitting in Valdosta and USAA now tells us they will not pay anymore for a rental car. We spoke with Werner's service manager (Brian) yesterday, he is very sympathetic but there is not much he can do to help us.*This is the third Kia we have purchased plus * Hyundais (ourselves and our children). We have been pleased, loyal customers over the years. (The only other problem was a Hyundai the first year they were sold in the USA).*Hopefully we can get this problem resolved quickly.
