I returned my leased Sorento on 6/5/20, five days early and in excellent condition, with low mileage. Despite this, I keep receiving threatening letters from Kia Motors Finance demanding the car back. The dealer in SC assured me multiple times it is in the system, but today I received another notice threatening legal action if not returned immediately. I’ve tried reaching the dealer, but no one returns my calls today. This ongoing issue is frustrating. I request a check on the return paperwork as promised and to waive the $[redacted] disposition fee. No payments were past due, and my credit is good. For more information, contact Benson Kia dealer in Spartanburg SC or reach me at the provided number. The Vin number was 5XYPH4A53HG229304, and the corporate finance contact details are included. I trust this matter will be addressed promptly. Thanks, Ron C.

In April [redacted], I applied for a three-month deferred payment plan with Kia Motor Finance due to COVID-19. When the deferment ended, I received a bill with three months of payments and late fees, impacting my previously great credit score. Despite contacting customer service in Manila, Philippines multiple times and detailing my situation, they acknowledged the deferral but couldn't resolve the issue, promising to escalate it to management. Unfortunately, I never received the promised call from a manager. I've asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, but they insist I wait for their contact. This situation has not occurred with any other company. How can I address this before it harms my credit score further?

In April [redacted], I bought a new Soul for my wife at Werner Kia of Tallahassee, FL. Recently, with under [redacted] miles, while in Valdosta GA, we experienced an issue. Driving in poor weather, we hit a bump at low speed and heard a loud noise. The exhaust was hanging down. In Valdosta, Langdale Kia quoted $[redacted] to fix it. Werner Kia agreed to repair it but getting the car there was stressful. Our insurance, USAA, was helpful, but there have been delays, and now they won't cover our rental car. Despite Werner's sympathy, the issue remains unresolved. We've been loyal Kia and Hyundai customers for years, with only one previous issue. We hope for a quick resolution as our confidence is waning, and we are hesitant to drive the car. - R.J. Auston, M.D. and G.G. Auston, Ph.D.

I encountered two issues recently. My [redacted] Kia Forte had a blown tire last Saturday near my home. Unfortunately, when I attempted to change it, I discovered that there was no jack, spare tire, or lug nut remover in the trunk. Instead, I only found an air pump and a can of sealant, which were of no use due to the tear in the tire. I am grateful that I was close to home; otherwise, I would have been stranded. The dealership failed to inform me that the car did not come with a spare tire, posing a safety risk. This situation has forced me to have my car towed to the Kia Garage for an expensive repair, despite having driven only a little over 10,[redacted] miles. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and my family, who have owned four Kias, has decided against purchasing another one.

I recently purchased a [redacted] Kia Stinger and though I love the car, there have been undisclosed mechanical issues that are taking much longer to resolve than initially communicated. I was told the fix would take three hours, but it's now estimated to take 20 days since the car was dropped off for service on 11/11/20. This delay is unacceptable. Over the years, I have owned several Kia vehicles, like 2 Sportages, 3 Sorentos, 1 Soul, 1 Seltos, 1 Telluride, and now the Stinger, and I have always found them to be dependable and mostly problem-free. The dealership staff have always been friendly, personable, and professional. I am disappointed by this unexpected inconvenience and hope this doesn't spoil my overall experience with Kia. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

I purchased service parts from a dealer service department located in Riverside, California, for my [redacted] KIA Sorento's broken windshield. Despite the dealer ordering the parts from Korea over two months ago, the items are still on backorder. I was initially told there would be a maximum lead time of one month when I paid for the parts. However, they are now saying there is no guarantee due to the current situation. Is this the standard service policy for Kia Motors' customers?

I want to report a fraud incident regarding a booking I made for a Kia Seltos HTX petrol 1.5 in black color on September 26, [redacted], at Kantipudi Motors India LLP. I paid a booking amount of Rs 25,[redacted] for the car and was promised delivery within a month. After receiving a call on October 13, [redacted], confirming the car was allocated to me and ready for delivery in 3 days, I visited the showroom on December 2 to check the status. To my shock, they mentioned the car had been given to someone else. I filed complaints with KIA customer care on December 2 (Complaint no: 1-[redacted]2) and December 8 (Complaint no: 1-[redacted]2), but both were closed without any action. This situation feels suspicious and fraudulent as no one has contacted me to resolve the issue. I possess call recordings as evidence, and if not resolved, I am prepared to take legal action.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at Lee Kia of Greenville. My wife, Joyce, a retired school teacher caring for 3 of our grandchildren, visited the dealership seeking a car that could hold 3 car seats. Despite her specific needs, we ended up with a vehicle that did not meet her requirements, lacking features like automatic lift gate and automatic start that we assumed were included. During negotiations, we agreed on a price not exceeding $39,[redacted]. However, upon closer inspection at home, we discovered several discrepancies. The car did not have the promised automatic lift gate, and we were informed that a navigation system was not included, being advised to use our phone instead. Furthermore, the sales contract reflected a $3,[redacted] rebate that was kept by the dealership, as well as a $1,[redacted] COD charge that was never explained to us. We recently received demands for this COD payment without prior knowledge or discussion. The salesman's dismissive attitude towards our concerns was disheartening. He implied that we should have been prepared to spend more for additional features, despite our clear budget constraints. To add to the frustration, promises of a customer survey were made but not kept for fear of receiving anything less than excellent feedback. As loyal customers who have purchased 4 Kia vehicles from your dealership, this experience has left us disheartened and questioning our loyalty. We hope for a resolution that respects our needs and honors our past patronage. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Joseph A. Futrell

I am reaching out for help for my son who owns a Kia SUV with over [redacted],[redacted] miles on it. He is still paying for it and it was purchased due to his low income as he has a special needs child. The car was recently vandalized - windows broken, back window shattered, front door damaged, catalytic converter stolen, and even the child's Christmas gifts were taken. Any assistance or support you can provide for my son and his special needs child will be greatly appreciated. My son is unaware that I am reaching out for help. Thank you so much, and God bless you.

I encountered an issue with my Kia Morning car (Model: [redacted] - Fingerprint) at a local exhaust system workshop. I left the car for a routine inspection, and upon my return, the engine would not start. The workshop claimed they did nothing and suggested I visit a maintenance center for a computer check. After further inspection, it was discovered that both carbon filters had been removed from the engine and exhaust pipe. Despite getting the car running again, there is now a clicking sound in the engine and visible smoke or steam from the oil cover. I would appreciate insights on the possible outcomes of running the car without the carbon filters and the recommended course of action.

I've been getting the runaround and need to speak to someone higher than customer service. I had a costly problem with a Kia Soul I bought for $8,[redacted]. The car died on September 26 due to transmission and engine issues after hearing about existing problems with it. I visited Gateway Kia for an oil change, but they demanded payment despite the issues. I only received a recall notice recently. I am owed $8,[redacted] for the Kia that I no longer have. My name is Wayne LaPorte.

It has now been four months, and I have not received any updates on the delivery. Despite promises from the dealer, I am dissatisfied with the lack of communication. Good afternoon Kia team, I purchased a Kia Rio in Oman in [redacted]. Due to losing my job because of Covid-19, I decided to ship my car to Slovakia, my home country. I am encountering difficulties registering it as I require a Certificate of Conformity (COC) and the small Arabic label on the driver's side needs to be in a format suitable for the EU. Despite meeting all the necessary requirements for registration in Slovakia, my car, manufactured in Korea for the Middle East, is facing issues solely due to the Arabic label and COC. I see many of my friends from across the EU having no trouble with their cars. I am the first owner of this car with only 25,[redacted] km on it, and it's disheartening to face obstacles after investing a significant amount to bring it back home. Any guidance or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Best regards, Lubica Elbrolosy

Dear Kia, I am a proud owner of two of your fantastic vehicles. My [redacted] Kia Sorento EX is in need of a new battery, and I am struggling to find one. Five years ago, purchasing a battery at a local parts store like Advanced Auto Parts was easy with various options available. However, now it seems harder to find the right fit, as some stores do not carry them, and the ones I found were too old to purchase. I know the battery for my Kia model is specific to years 2[redacted], and it seems parts stores are not updating their stock accordingly. Although I acknowledge this is not your direct responsibility, it is concerning for me as I cherish my [redacted] vehicle which is still going strong at 13 years old. I also own a [redacted] Kia Sorento LX. If the battery availability issue persists, I am worried. Are there alternative batteries besides the 24 group that you can recommend? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

On June 10, [redacted], I brought in my car (ICK [redacted]) due to the ABS light being on. After dropping it off at 9 am, I noticed it had just been parked in the lot by 12:30 pm without any work done. Despite requesting an inspection, it took an additional three hours to be told it would need to be kept for repairs for 1 to 2 months. As a divorced public servant with a minor dependent and no spare car, the cost of a rental ($3,[redacted]) is unaffordable with each paycheck. I strongly believe that Kia should provide a courtesy car due to the mechanical issue. The response from Kia Plaza Motors in Puerto Rico about being lucky not to have lost the car in a fire was concerning. I am grateful no one was harmed, but legal action would have been taken if the car had caught fire. Public transportation in PR is limited, and I am in need of assistance with this situation.

My [redacted] Kia Sportage went in for a routine oil change at Firestone. They found low oil pressure and several issues related to the oil gasket seal that was replaced by the dealer in December. After providing me with a list of technical service bulletins related to my car's problems, I visited the dealer. They dismissed it as an oil pressure sensor issue. Upon picking up the car, I noticed it wasn't accelerating properly and there was a metal rattling noise. Upon return, they mentioned the car needed to relearn my driving habits, the metal noise was normal for turbo cars, and advised me to restart the car if the engine light came on. Hours later on the highway, the car started decelerating and jerking violently without any dashboard warning lights. After stopping, checking fluids, and restarting, I drove it back to the dealer. I left a detailed account of the incidents and highlighted that these problems only arose after their service, despite them giving me a clean inspection report earlier claiming everything was fine.

We need warranty service for our [redacted] Kia Soul. The car was taken to Lakeshore KIA in Slidell, Louisiana. Upon contacting the Slidell dealership, I was informed they are experiencing a backlog, and the vehicle won't be serviced for about a month. The McComb dealership in Mississippi stated it would take 3 months to service the car. On the other hand, the Denham Springs dealership in Louisiana mentioned they could service it in 2 to 3 days. However, since it's farther away, the towing expenses wouldn't be covered by the warranty. I'm extremely disappointed with this situation. I feel the warranty should be honored considering the extended wait times at the other locations. Additionally, Slidell couldn't offer a loaner car until the service is completed. This level of service is unacceptable, and I had higher expectations from Kia.

I am unsure if this is the correct channel; please guide me if I am mistaken. My name is Tessa Chandler, and I reside in Bridgetown, Barbados, at 31 Clerview Heights, Clermont St Michael. I bought my Kia Sportage in January [redacted] from Ansa McCal/Mc Enearney Barbados at 1-[redacted]. On June 22, while driving, I noticed a sudden decrease in power and speed, causing the vehicle to not accelerate beyond 40 km/h. I promptly took my car to Ansa on the same day. They informed me on June 23 that I needed to replace the steering rack and the Turbo Charger/Actuator. After realizing my Basic Warranty expired on January 25, [redacted], I discovered the Power Train Warranty could still apply for up to 10 years or an additional 5 years if the vehicle had not exceeded [redacted],[redacted] km. Although I cannot check the dash odometer currently, my mileage is well below 70,[redacted] km. Despite this, Ansa claims the power train warranty does not cover my [redacted] Sportage. I refer to my Kia Manual which states otherwise. My Chassis/VIN # is KNAPB813MG[redacted], Engine No. D4HAFH244538. I am reaching out for clarity on whether the Power Train Warranty should apply in this circumstance. Kindly contact me at 1-[redacted] when convenient. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

As a Canadian resident splitting time between Florida and Ontario, I drive a US-bought [redacted] Kia Sorento under warranty. I encountered an issue where the windows stopped functioning, and the Oakville, Ontario Kia Dealer diagnosed the problem as the Master Switch. Surprisingly, Kia Canada declined to cover the repair under warranty, stating it's an American car and directed me to seek assistance in the US. I was under the impression that the warranty was valid across North America.

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Sharon C., and I am 58 years old, currently on disability with a monthly income of $[redacted]. I recently had a difficult experience with Kia Motor Company in Monroe, North Carolina. I expressed my financial struggles to a representative regarding a car payment of $[redacted] per month, which I clearly stated I could not afford on my $[redacted] monthly income. Despite my explanations, there was a misunderstanding, and I was pushed to pay $[redacted]. I raised this issue with another Kia Motors representative, even providing $2,[redacted] upfront as requested, towards my car payment. I have been diligently working to improve my credit over the past two years, but I am finding it extremely challenging to meet this payment. I visited Kia Motors requesting a car loan refinancing a few months back to ease my financial burdens. I am earnestly seeking assistance to refinance my car to alleviate my financial strain. This would greatly help me manage my expenses within my limited monthly budget. I kindly ask for someone to provide guidance and support in addressing this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Have a blessed day and stay safe. S.C.
