I was at your local KFC tonight, Tues. *********, at *:**-*:** PM on Barnet Rd. in Medford Oregon. I have a refreshing report of THANKS I hope is noticed & makes us all think! **I want you to know the line was long with people wanting food. Your employees were working crazy hard while smiling & apologizing to your customers for it taking longer than usual to get orders out & why. Half your staff showed up & one was covering from another store!! I asked the young man his name. His name is Ryan. He doesnt know I asked so I could do this. He told me most likely because I was the only one who asked, talked WITH not AT, or cared to even notice how hard these guys were working for little to no patience from people in a rush....ALL while smiling & doing a great job I frankly would not have. **Those guys made your company look good tonight. They deserve far better than the stressed night of work, distressed apologies, & griping from ungrateful customers! This crew was awesome & very noticeable to anyone truly observing them & all that was going on. My dinner was perfect to boot. Ive been to KFC from Portland Oregon to Medford Oregon & THIS crew beats them all hands down. I still cannot believe what only * employees pulled off tonight what I witnessed in a short time while there for dinner. That level of stressing work shouldn't be expected nor the norm. Its above & beyond that & needs thanked for it. **Im a regular * towns over where a full staff of around * never have been able to fill my order right, nor serve hot items hot or cold items cold. I STILL wont ever complain there because I SEE them working fast & hard...not once has it ever been from slacking at ANY KFC I frequent. Your employees ARE WHY KFC is my go-to for fast food & you need to know that & you REALLY need to find out who was in that crew tonight! Helped my faith in the future to see that level of work ethic in a younger generation!! It at least needs commendation.**I think he was shocked that anyone noticed anything at all done right tonight. They were ***% focused on customer service with SMILES that broke my heart to watch the stress & sweat of only *, which was what made me comment on the awesome work. I made sure he knew I DID see, not only the great job being done, but also how sorry I was for the undue stress with no gratitude from ANYONE there for it. I thought this young man might break down in shock right then & there. He was so focused on his work, a caring word & voice was all it took to break through to the human part of your night's sales at that KFC tonight. It made his smile a little less forced & genuine immediately just to be thanked and encouraged. **That young man & crew have an amazing work ethic that's too rare to go unnoticed these days. I saw it in action tonight & I know from plenty of experience on all sides of service spanning *** yrs, you're lucky to have him & any one of that crew who stayed to work that shift at that KFC tonight. **I sincerely hope you, as a corporation, will reach out to Ryan & his coworkers there tonight and compensate them somehow for making your KFC look very good tonight considering. They deserve at least a commendation & bonus for saving your company's reputation & potential loss of sales, imho. **The reason Im taking the time to do this is this is the *rd time in a week Ive seen this in the service industry. If you know only half your stores staff even bothered to show up for work & one went out of his way to cover from another store, please pay them what you would have if all had shown up! I'm watching people do double the work for nothing from motels to food service lately. **This is my *th time through this way with the same motels & fast food restaurants being short staffed because of no shows for shifts. I know its becoming an issue for all involved, but I sincerely hope you realize the value of the good employees you have. Im taking roses to the motel maid tomorrow who was left in the same stress to prep my room here because her coworkers were "no shows" too. Im recuperating from a pulmonary embolism here for now & very much appreciate all service workers, especially right now. The wait was minimal & the service was superior comparatively locally. **The world can learn how to be more patient & others making money off of all of it can darn well pay whats fair or at least give these folks a good commendation & thanks. **I, for one, am dependant on them for now. I bet not many realize how dependant they are on the service industry for convenience & leisure too. Forrest fire smoke is heavy here, hence an embolism DVT issues for me & perhaps why so many are not showing up for work. **The cream of your employee crop are those that DO. Its miserably hot & smoky here right now. Those who show up for work under these conditions are going to be your allstars. I, for one, thank them for their service & hope more will join me in that! ***Its my hope that people start slowing down to notice the unseen & realize how invaluable ALL service workers are! I, for one, am tired of all complaints but rarely a peep when all is good. **Tonight's service was above & beyond under the circumstances. A *-*minute delay is NOTHING!!! Please THANK that crew for me tonight. If not for them & other local service workers here, I'd be in a hospital room right now. Those who know me well know THATS pretty much "over my dead body" & **** near is right now. If not for service workers here, I couldn't do all I am!! This is the first time I've ever been forced to really see how invaluable THIS level of service industry is. I'll also thank you now for making good food affordable for all as well. Tonight just made me a little sad, but also glad to learn of one more thing to be grateful for AND a new way to show it to those who likely never hear it, nor are known. **Thank you for your time & consideration of my thoughts and opinion tonight!
