I have a **** JDXUV*** and am having problems shifting the gears. I bought this used in **** with ** hours from a dealer Greenville Turf and Tractor in Greenville, SC. I test drove it at the dealer and everything worked fine then. After driving it at home and as the weather got warmer, the gears began to get stuck. The dealer changed out the clutch and belt at no charge. Now ** hours later, I’m having the same problem again. After the time with this problem, the dealer told me to turn off the engine, shift the gear, and restart. I have been doing this, and now I think my starter is broken. I have read on a Gator forum that an upgrade kit to a *** clutch, gear shift cable, and some other parts should have been installed or at least offered to me before this was resold. I was never offered or knew of such kit when buying it. I was also not told of the shifting issues from these models by the dealer. *I want to know if John Deere has came up with a true permanent solution to this problem, or are these models just being temporarily fixed each time the problem occurs. I have * John Deere lawnmowers and a ****E tractor and have been very pleased with these. This contestant issue with the Gator and no help in getting it permanently fixed is deterring me from John Deere lately. **Thank you,*Jimmy Pruitt
