I would like to report a significant delay we encountered with our flight on July 18, [redacted], which resulted in a nine-hour wait. Despite being compensated with a $[redacted] credit per passenger, it does not adequately cover our losses for the day. My family and I, loyal JetBlue credit card holders, had chosen JetBlue as our preferred airline until this incident. We were flying from JFK to Aruba to celebrate our anniversaries, only to face multiple delays and poor communication from the airline. Throughout the ordeal, we were not provided with sufficient meals or accurate information about the flight status. We spent from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the airport, further impacting our plans once we finally arrived in Aruba past midnight. Comparing this experience to a previous delay where we received better compensation, a $[redacted] credit falls short. Dear forum members, I wanted to share my recent experience with JetBlue Airlines. On Sunday, July 28, [redacted], I had a flight scheduled (Flight [redacted]) departing from JFK Airport at 11:55 pm. Unfortunately, I arrived at the airport at 11:20 pm and was denied assistance to board the plane as the gate doors were closed. Despite seeking help at the check-in area, I was informed I had to wait until the next day, with the departure time being the same. I felt frustrated as on Monday, July 29, [redacted], I witnessed another late passenger being promptly assisted for a flight to Santiago around 10:00 pm. During our flight [redacted] from Atlanta, Georgia to Orlando, Florida on July 24, [redacted], my husband, L.L., and I encountered a disappointing situation. The seats in front of us had dirty tissues in both pockets, and the trays were unclean. Additionally, a broken piece prevented my husband from stowing his personal item under the seat. I promptly informed the flight attendant, Carlos, who said he would notify the crew. Subsequently, I contacted Darci at customer service to report the issue and request assistance. Due to the inconvenience, including a delayed flight and unsanitary conditions, my husband and I are seeking a refund for our travel expenses. I have documented the situation with photos as evidence.

My name is Rosalia Svelti, and my flight [redacted] on 8/6/19 was delayed. My email is [redacted] As previously mentioned, my flight from Santo Domingo to Boston was delayed for more than 6 hours. I was issued a travel credit for $[redacted], but I am requesting a full credit for the flight. Nobody was at the ticket counter for 2 hours after my flight was meant to depart at 3:15 am. I have been trying to resolve this with customer service, but I have been placed on hold multiple times. I find the way the JetBlue representative handled the situation to be unprofessional. I am currently experiencing back and butt pain from the long hours of waiting and flying. I am disappointed with the lack of customer service in this situation.

I recently had a troublesome travel experience on a flight from Las Vegas to New York. Our non-stop flight had to make an unexpected landing in Baltimore due to running out of fuel. Subsequently, we faced various delays, including waiting for new pilots to arrive from Boston. After several complications and a total travel time of 15 hours for a 4.5-hour flight, I finally arrived in New York significantly later than planned. The airline staff had to organize alternative transportation for us, and I missed out on an entire day of plans and reservations. I am now looking to reschedule my return flight from Sunday to Monday at 9:25 pm from JFK.

My father experienced disrespect on flight [redacted] from West Palm to Westchester. Following a 1.5-hour tarmac delay, due to his diabetes, he requested to use the restroom but was initially denied by staff citing FAA regulations. Despite pleading his case, he was still harassed. He eventually used the restroom. Upon landing, he was confronted by four police officers with dogs, causing distress. My flight was delayed for over an hour, and we were forced to deplane and re-board without any explanations. This caused my family to miss our scheduled shared shuttle service. Once we got through customs at CUN airport, we were already 1.5 hours behind schedule. We had to take an unplanned Taxi, which was both a safety concern and an unexpected extra cost. I reached out to JetBlue Vacations customer service, but unfortunately, no one could assist. It's disappointing that loyal customers like my family are treated this way. It feels unfair to blame us for a delay beyond our control.

Dear JetBlue representative, I kindly request the waiving of the $75.00 penalty per person to rebook my JetBlue confirmation # QTRTHX for my mother's 100th birthday celebration. I mistakenly booked for Saturday, October 5th instead of Friday, October 4th in a hurried attempt to secure the $79.00 flight emailed in July for myself and my husband to join the family event. I regret missing my mother’s special day due to this error. Despite the higher cost, I am willing to pay the difference to change my flight to Friday evening to share in this meaningful occasion. I reached out to customer service, explaining my mistake, and was informed of the penalty charges which I cannot afford as a disabled mother of five. I implore you to reconsider and waive the additional fee so I can be present for this milestone celebration for a remarkable woman who selflessly worked two jobs to provide for her family. Your understanding is greatly appreciated as this error impacts not only the event but memories and tributes to my hardworking mother.

Greetings, my name is Damian Jose Pujols Olmo, and I am writing to formally complain about the dissatisfaction and disappointment I felt while flying with your airline. I have two complaints. The first issue occurred on July 24th of the current year when I flew with Jet Blue. I had purchased the flight almost 3 or 4 months prior and had selected seats for myself and 4 other family members, my parents, and my siblings. However, upon boarding the plane, I realized that the person who assisted me at the check-in at Las Americas International Airport changed my seat without asking. My entire family was separated, which was unpleasant as we had chosen seats close to each other, especially as a minor traveling with my family. I had to sit far away from them next to a stranger. I was on flight number [redacted] and had initially selected seat 26F, which was changed to 23B. My second complaint is about my return flight, number [redacted]. When I attempted to place my carry-on luggage in my assigned seat, 18F, it was already full. Despite raising this concern with the flight attendant, I was instructed to place it elsewhere, which was confusing as each passenger is allowed only one carry-on, and it should be placed in the designated seat to avoid confusion or loss. Additionally, during the flight, all passengers were startled by unexpected turbulence that was not announced beforehand, causing significant discomfort due to sudden movements and instability of the aircraft.

Hello, my name is Nadiuska Olmo, and I am writing to formally submit 2 complaints. The first one is about an issue with my Jet Blue flight number [redacted] booked around 3 to 4 months before July 24th of the current year. I purchased 5 airline tickets for myself, Nadiuska Olmo, my 2 minor children, Daniel Jose Pujols and Damian Jose Pujols, as well as for my husband Jose Damian Pujols and my stepson Jose Gabriel Pujols. We selected to sit together with seat assignments as follows: mine, Nadiuska Olmo, 27E, Daniel Jose Pujols Olmo, 27F, Damian Jose Pujols Olmo, 26F, Jose Damian Pujols, 26D, and Jose Gabriel Pujols, 26E. However, at the airport, the Jet Blue staff reassigned our seats without our consent. My assigned seat was changed to 9E, Daniel's to 9F, Damian's to 23B, far away from us, Jose Damian's to 7D, and Jose Gabriel's to 7E, creating discomfort during the entire journey. The second complaint involves our return flight, number [redacted], where we found the overhead compartments above our designated seats occupied by others' belongings. The flight attendant instructed us to store our bags in other available spaces since the 5 spots assigned to each of us were taken. This forced us to place our carry-on bags 2, 3, or even 4 rows away from our seats, risking mix-ups or loss, and causing further inconvenience. I have checked in for my flight, but am unable to select a seat for my 5-year-old daughter. Currently, there are two seats next to each other available, but the website is not allowing me to choose them. My Confirmation Number is JWTVNE. This is my second time flying with JetBlue, and it is the second time I have encountered issues with the airline. I have attempted to call multiple times, being disconnected once. The automated phone service repeatedly states a wait time of 6 minutes, but I have been waiting for 34 minutes with no call back. I am extremely frustrated.

I am in a difficult situation involving the custody of my daughter. After her mother lost custody and she was placed with her mother's boyfriend, I had her grandmother fly her to me without permission due to concerns for her well-being. I was threatened with kidnapping charges, which led me to seek legal advice and contact the police in Boston. They confirmed my rights as the biological father. I had booked flight [redacted] on 8/18/19 from Buffalo to JFK. I purchased three tickets for my daughter, Hannah Duke, Colin Stevens, and Makena Finger. Despite several delay notices, we followed instructions and arrived at the airport on time, only to face further delays. Ultimately, the flight arrived at 11:30 instead of the scheduled 7:30, causing inconvenience. Due to the delay, extra charges were incurred for boarding two dogs overnight. Hello, I am writing to address the delay experienced on Flight [redacted] from JFK to Sandals in Barbados on Saturday, August 24, [redacted]. After boarding, we were informed of a flight inspection resulting in a significant delay. Despite initial estimates for completion, additional paperwork caused further delays, totaling over 2 hours. This delay impacted my plans to celebrate my 39th wedding anniversary and caused us to miss our Surprise dinner at the resort. I was disappointed with JetBlue's handling of the situation and believe compensation should be provided to myself and other affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.

Our connecting flight from Rochester to JFK and JFK to Charlotte was a series of unfortunate events. The initial flight delay due to weather ended up being five times. Additionally, we were forced to check our carry-on bags last minute because of limited overhead space. Two hours behind schedule, we were diverted mid-flight to Stewart International Airport, where we were grounded until receiving authorization to land in JFK. My fiancé experienced water dripping from the ceiling and pebbles of ice during turbulence. Upon arrival at JFK, we encountered an eight-hour wait, five more delays, and eventual cancellation of our connecting flight. After a long call to the JetBlue hotline, they refunded the canceled flight and rebooked us for the next day. Unexpectedly, we had to cover a $[redacted].41 hotel stay as our plans to stay with friends fell through. Today, after confirming our flight on the JetBlue website, we arrived early, only to face another hour's delay. I have flown with JetBlue approximately 50 times over the past 10 years, and it has always been my go-to airline. However, my recent experience on the August 9th-11th round trip flight was extremely disappointing. My flight scheduled for 5:30 am on August 9th departed at midday, leading to the loss of my NYC business for the day and incurring $[redacted]+ in additional lodging expenses. Furthermore, the return flight was delayed by 3 hours at JFK without proper communication or assistance. The representative was young and inexperienced, struggling to convey information clearly to passengers waiting in line. I was disappointed by the behavior of a flight attendant during my recent trip. My toddler made a noise, and her response was unprofessional and unsettling. Placed in the last row, we could hear staff talking, preventing my child from sleeping. When I asked for assistance, the flight attendant seemed shocked and did not offer the support I needed. This lack of professionalism was disheartening, as I was seeking help and comfort during a midnight flight. While there were noisy passengers around, it was not addressed promptly. Despite this, the one positive aspect of the journey was the smooth landing.
