Top Tip from another customer
If you've travelled on multiple airlines, the airline that takes you to your destination is always responsible for retrieving your bag, even if you departed on a different airline.
The issue in GetHuman-mrmgd's own words
JetBlue had our original connecting flight B***** delayed from MCO (Orlando) departing at *:**am to JFK (New York) arriving at **:**am....at the last minute of boarding, to **am and then finally **am...thus preventing us to make our connecting Asiana Air flight OZ**** departing from JFK at *:**pm on that same day Wed ******* to ICM (Seoul) arriving on Thur ******* at *:**pm.**We had to scramble to call JetBlue airlines because your “Ask Us” desk was so busy w* customers in line scrambling for other flights out as well. When I spoke w* a JetBlue representative, they only gave us * options: flying at a much later flight time Wed ******* at approx *pm to Boston and connecting to Qatar Airways (at Doha) or connecting to a China Airlines flight —which we know has very bad customer service reviews!!**As we opted for Wed *******, for MCO to BOS, on flight *** departing from MCO at *pm & arriving in Boston at *:**pm. From BOS, we had to take a connecting flight QR *** on Qatar Airways on Wed ******* from BOS to DOH at **:**pm and arriving in Doha at *:**pm Thur *******. From there, we had to take another connecting flight *** from DOH to Saigon, Vietnam —departing from DOH at *:**pm Thur ******* and arriving at our final destination in SGN at *:**am on Friday morning *******.**The frustrating thing was that we had to retrieve ourselves the * large boxes we checked in on the original JFK flight out Wed ******* to BOS at *:*am, carry on * luggage lifts back to MCO JetBlue check-in luggage again, obtain new sticker, go through security clearance twice again, in order to scramble to another flight out from MCO to BOS at *pm departure.**Now, only when we arrived at our final destination in SGN, did we find out * large check-in boxes were missing. The representatives at Saigon Lost Luggage department found out that it originally got lost in the shift of checking-in of the * boxes the second at MCO (Orlando) to Boston.*NOTE: The JetBlue representative at check-in at MCO (Orlando) gave us only * of * check-in receipts instead of * total check-in receipts. * The SGN representatives at Lost & Found department were able to only locate * of the * missing large boxes. * However, they said the *nd missing check-in box (out of * total checked-in boxes originally done only at MCO the second time around) cannot be tracked since they never gave us the *th check-in receipt (which someone removed from the stapled check-in receipts given to us at MCO (Orlando).* They suggest we contact JetBlue to track down our missing checked-in box originating from the Orlando (MCO) check-in counter.* ALERT: My daily Hi-Blood Pressure medication and other medication in addtion to our * children’s clothing is now missing from this large check-in box.* Now, I’m in an international country without my daily medication to live !!...due to JetBlue’s incompetence!!!
