Hello Customer Service,**I would like to express my concern about the visit I had today at the Lynnhaven Mall JCP. I went to the local JCP to do some early shopping and make few purchases for the upcoming holiday. I had previously seen an advertisement for the $** off of $** that would be handed out on Saturday November *rd starting at **am while supplies last. Unfortunately by the time I arrived at the store at ****am all the coupons where depleted*given out. That was not a deal breaker for me and I still had shopping I wanted to do. As I waited in line to make my purchase I noticed the lady in front of me with several of the offered $** off $** gift cards in her hand. She had several bags which looked like only * Item per bag in her hand. As the JCP cashier attempted to ring up her purchase and apply the $** the system would not accept or allow the coupon to apply to the purchase. The customer was irritated by that and started to complain until a manger was called over and approved the coupon to be applied. Then I noticed the same lady leaning over to her left talking another lady and saying we have to go to another register to use another $** coupon. I then asked her how did she obtain so many of the $** off $** coupons, and she said they gave them to us we each got * a piece. She, her mom and her daughter had * coupons each. That’s $*** worth of FREE merchandise they obtained from JCP when they should have only recess total of $** between the * of them. This sickens me when you have honest people such as myself who did not receive * coupon because someone handed those ladies * each. There were plenty of others that could have taken advantage of the offer if they had not been so greedy and had only been five the limit of * per person. Also from my understanding that people could go from multiple JCP Representative to obtain a coupon until they ran out. I could have happily used multiple coupons on the * purchases that I made today in JCP for my gifts I purchased. I made purchases in Jewelry, Women’s Coats, Cookware & Women’s Apparel for my for sisters. My suggestion for future offers is to have one location where the customers have to go to pick up a coupon to eliminate this from happening and make the offer fair to every customer. Also if the coupon doesn’t apply to certain items, don’t let an disgruntle customer make the JCP cashier apply the coupon. I will continue to shop at JCP as I have done so for ** years and hope that this will help in the process of making it fair for everyone to benefit from free $ coupon offers in the future.
