Hello, my name is Mindy B., and my Instagram account username was mindy__barnett. Unfortunately, someone I knew sent me a malicious link through a direct message, resulting in my account sending the same link to other users without my knowledge. I promptly changed my password, warned others not to click the link, and apologized for the incident. However, my account has been deactivated due to the suspicious activity. When attempting to reactivate it, I discovered that the email associated with my Instagram account, [redacted], is no longer valid since it was created in [redacted] or [redacted]. I would like to request the activation code to be sent to my new email, [redacted], or to my personal email, [redacted], to regain access to my account. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, My Instagram account was suddenly disabled for allegedly violating community guidelines. This happened after briefly lending my phone to a stranger who requested to make a call. Upon checking, no call was made, but I noticed my device's settings were changed - mobile data, Bluetooth, and location services were activated, which I had not done. Within minutes, my account was disabled, and upon trying to appeal, I received an "Unknown Error" message. Additionally, upon returning my phone, I got a notification of a deleted file received via Bluetooth from the stranger. I suspect my account was hacked during this time. About a month ago, I disabled my account. When I tried to log back in, my two-step authentication codes were not working as I had changed my phone number and now use the Google Authentication app. My account used to be linked with Facebook, but that connection is no longer active. Currently, only my email is working. As I changed phones during Christmas, I can't use the codes on my app anymore. The backup codes I have are giving me error messages, stating that they are not valid. I am unable to access my account. Please assist me in recovering my account @jodiedefenceless. I am unsure of what steps to take next.

I recently had to delete my email due to a hacking incident, and unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to update my email on my Instagram (IG) account. As a result, I'm now unable to log in to my account. I attempted to create a new account but encountered an issue where it stated my new email address is already in use. When I input the correct password, it indicates that the password is incorrect. I've also tried the "Forgot password" option to receive a password reset link, but I haven't received the email. Despite having my IG and Facebook accounts linked, I am unable to access my account using Facebook credentials as well.

Hello, I updated my account email on December 12th because I lost access to my previous email. Unfortunately, I didn't verify the new email as the verification email landed in my junk mail folder. Now, Instagram is asking me to verify my account, but it will only send the verification code to my inaccessible previous email address, which was linked to a domain I no longer own. I am unable to regain access to the email account as the domain is now owned by someone else. The other verification option is my old phone number, which I also no longer have access to. Please advise on the steps to regain access to my account. The email I am using to contact you now is the updated email for my account.

I have a problem with my Instagram account. It got hacked on Monday, and the hacker changed the email address for identity verification. Despite changing my password multiple times, I can't receive the verification code because it's going to an unfamiliar email address. As a result, I'm locked out of my account. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me identify the email currently associated with my account.

We are an official sports club based in Turkey. Our Instagram handle is icelidmanyurduspor. Recently, there was a report of impersonation concerning our account. We want to clarify that our Instagram account, İçel İdman Yurdu, holds the necessary legal rights. I'm currently experiencing difficulty accessing my Facebook account, which is concerning as my promotions are associated with it. In an attempt to continue promoting my pictures, I created a new account; however, I encountered an error stating I need to access my old account to add the new one as an admin. Unfortunately, I am unable to retrieve access to my old account, leaving me unable to promote any of my pictures, which is frustrating. I have been dealing with a distressing situation where someone has created a fake account using my pictures to bully me. Despite my repeated reports, Instagram has not taken down the account. I am prepared to provide my identification to prove my identity. The account causing me harm by sharing personal photos is _hamzax3_.

Since December 23rd, I've been unable to access my Facebook and Instagram accounts. Despite following all rules, both platforms say my accounts are disabled. I contacted support via email, provided a photo of myself with name, surname, Instagram username (ale.xein), and a code number, but have received no response after 6 days. Kindly assist. Yesterday evening, my account under the username franziska.higatzberger was hacked. Unfortunately, I can't recall the email address I used during the registration process, which prevents me from utilizing the official Instagram support system since they require this information. Roughly a week ago, I received a direct message alerting me that my pictures were being used by another account, accompanied by a link. Regrettably, I clicked on this link, which I am convinced led to the hacking of my account. Presently, my followers are receiving identical direct messages from the compromised account. Notably, my account is now following an additional [redacted] users, and unauthorized images have been posted.

My son is having trouble recovering his password for his IG account. The password reset links are being sent to a phone number that he no longer has, compromising his identity. Additionally, email recovery is unsuccessful as IG sends the reset link to an account that is not his. To add to the confusion, when I tried logging in with my password and his username, it directed me to my account instead. Issues: 1. His phone, where the login information is saved, is broken. 2. The recovery phone number linked to his account is outdated, meaning he doesn't receive the recovery code messages. 3. Attempts to recover via his Gmail are unsuccessful as it is linked to an IG account that doesn't belong to him. 4. Entering my password with his username leads to my account, not his. A perplexing situation that needs urgent resolution.

Dear Instagram Support, I believe my Instagram account was deactivated due to a prank played on me by a friend. The picture I unknowingly sent contained a bug that led to this issue. I actually meant to deactivate it temporarily to concentrate on my studies for the semester, but I ended up selecting the permanent deletion option by accident. I managed an account named @theunitedramble, dedicated to Manchester United fans. With over a thousand followers, I found great joy in running it. Unfortunately, the account has been permanently disabled. I have filed an appeal because I think it was deleted due to a video I posted. However, I gave proper credit to the original account, which makes the deletion seem unjust. I am hoping for a reversal of this decision.

I wanted more likes on my posts, so I tried some websites offering free likes. After using a couple of them, I entered my username and password. Later, when I tried to access Instagram, it showed me as logged out and switched me to my second account. When I tried to log back in, it said my password was incorrect, and I couldn't use my phone number for authorization as it was outdated. Even using my Facebook login was unsuccessful. I reached out to Instagram via email, and they requested a photo of myself with a specific code, which I promptly sent. However, I am still waiting for their response.
