It seems my account and email have been compromised, as the username has been changed to "Ogakushiis" and the email to "malamakridina1987@m." I suspect my original username to be either ddillon or ddillon104, linked to my email [redacted] Due to these security breaches, unknown individuals now have access to my account, leading to potential fraudulent activities with my credit card and attempted access to my bank account. Dear Instagram Support, I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing issue of unknown individuals accessing my account without my knowledge. Recently, my account details have been altered, with the username now showing as "Ogakushi" and the email changed to "[redacted]" I have lost visibility of my account information after the "@" symbol. I believe my original username to be either "ddillon" or "ddillon104," and the email associated with my account is "[redacted]" As I do not use this account frequently, I am alarmed that unfamiliar individuals are now part of my account under a different name. Furthermore, following this unauthorized access, one of my credit cards was misused for several transactions, and an attempt was made to access my bank account. I am uncertain if these incidents are related. I am willing to have my entire account deleted and create a new one to resolve this troubling situation promptly. I encountered an issue with my Instagram app on my iPhone. Upon opening the app, I discovered that I had been unintentionally logged out of my account. When attempting to log back in, I was granted access to a different account instead of mine. After further attempts, I opted to log in through Facebook, resulting in the creation of a new account. Even though my original account still appears active when viewed from a friend's phone, I cannot access it. The email linked to my original account is now defunct, but my phone number ([redacted]) remains attached to it. I am seeking guidance on how to regain entry to my original Instagram account.

Hello, I've had an Instagram account for several years. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the email used for my original account signup as it was linked to a Hughesnet account that has since been closed. Recently, I had to replace my cell phone quickly, and my apps did not transfer, leading me to forget my Instagram password. I tried creating a new account but would like the old one deleted to avoid having it floating around. I attempted to contact my old email provider, but they won't grant access without payment. I'm wondering if it's possible to delete the old account if password recovery isn't an option. Thank you

Hello, I recently learned that a comment I made was deleted and flagged as harassment. Admittedly, the comment was a bit cheeky, but it was exchanged with a close friend who reciprocated in a similar manner. This banter reflects how we, along with many others, show affection through playful banter. While I appreciate Instagram's efforts to combat cyberbullying, in this instance, since my friend didn't find it offensive and even enjoyed it, it seems a bit off the mark. Additionally, the comment in question was made over two years ago, making the situation even more puzzling. Overall, I commend the platform for addressing online harassment, but perhaps in the future, they could check if the involved users perceive the exchange as light-hearted and friendly rather than handling it as a violation of guidelines. On Sunday morning, my daughter informed me that my Instagram account had been hacked. My name was replaced with Kelesida Briar, even though the photos are mine. When I tried to log in, I received a message saying my username didn't belong to an account. The email associated with my account is [redacted], and my phone number is an iPhone, [redacted]. The only username I have ever used is alatner. I am eager to regain access to my account. Despite sending the requested information and photo verification code, I have not received any response. My friends are informing me that my hacked account is still active, and it's distressing that I cannot access it. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On Sunday morning, my daughter alerted me that my Instagram account was hacked, and the name displayed was not mine but "Kelesida Briar." Despite the photos being mine, I couldn't access my account as it showed that the username didn't exist. I signed up with *****@***.com and use an iPhone. My only username is alatner. I'm distressed by this situation and need help resolving it. I responded to an email requesting information and sent my photo with the code as instructed, but I haven't received any further communication. It's disheartening to hear from friends about the hack and see my photos still online without being able to log in and check the account.

My Instagram account was hacked, and I'm unsure if it was through my email or Instagram. I don't remember clicking on anything suspicious. I received an email notification that the linked email was changed to [redacted] (original email is [redacted]). I tried to undo the change but it didn't work. They also removed my linked phone number, with the error message "expired token" when I tried to fix it. My phone number is [redacted]. I suspect a random hacker, given I have over three thousand followers and use my account for modeling and brand promotions. I'm concerned they may be reaching out to people. I reported it on September 22nd on Instagram but haven't received a response. I'm anxious to figure out the next steps before any damage occurs.

Hello! I hope my message is clear. English is not my strongest language. I am from Germany and I have a pet account on Instagram. My account is: goldenretriever_r.s. I enjoy looking at dog pictures and would like to follow other pet accounts. However, for the past week, I have been unable to follow or follow back my friends. When I click to follow, it appears to work, but when I return to the profile I just followed, I see that I am not following it. I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the Instagram app on my phone, but the issue persists: I still cannot follow or follow back. Could you please assist me?

I am struggling to reset my account password on Instagram. Despite attempting to retrieve it using both my username "_pallavisharma9" and email "[redacted]," I received a "user not found" message. I deactivated my account due to personal reasons and now encounter a message saying my email is already in use. When trying to log in through Facebook, the process just refreshes. I have not received any helpful responses from YouTube, Reddit, or Instagram support. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly, as my account was not deleted or disabled by Instagram, but intentionally deactivated by me.

I am encountering difficulties in receiving security code verifications. After contacting my email service provider, they explained: "Dear Customer, we have verified the technical aspects of your email account and found no issues. If you are not receiving notifications from Facebook or Instagram, it may be because they have stopped sending them to your inactive email account. They may have ceased sending notifications after receiving multiple non-delivery messages when your account was inactive. We recommend contacting Facebook or Instagram to request reactivation of notifications." My email account is [redacted] Thank you!

About a month ago, I was locked out of my iCloud account, which led to me being unable to access any accounts due to forgotten passwords stored in iCloud. I attempted to sign into Instagram via my Facebook account. Subsequently, a prompt requested a security code to be sent to a phone number associated with the account, which I no longer have access to because it was connected to a canceled T-Mobile account. Despite trying an alternative phone number, I found myself logged out and disabled. Each login attempt results in a request for a code sent to the unreachable number. Furthermore, trying to log in via Facebook resulted in the creation of a new account using my Facebook and email, seemingly making the only option to access my Instagram account through that inaccessible number. I have submitted numerous reports and forms along with photos and a state ID to Instagram trying to recover my account. Despite receiving one email indicating temporary disabling of my account, there has been no assistance on how to regain access. I have been tirelessly submitting forms for nearly a month but have yet to successfully retrieve my account. I possess substantial evidence verifying ownership of the account and desperately seek prompt assistance. I have cherished my account with almost [redacted] followers over the years, and the thought of losing it is distressing. Your prompt help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Hello, thank you. I require assistance accessing my son's Instagram account. He is a minor, and I had initially taken control of his account. However, I've forgotten the correct password and cannot regain access. Despite reaching out to Instagram and providing a picture of my son with a specific code in jpeg format as requested, we have not received further help. My son, an aspiring music artist with a release on October 2nd, relies on Instagram, Twitter, and other social media for promotion. Our manager is now involved in resolving this issue. The username is @IsaacDunbar, and the account contains numerous photos of him proving its ownership. Yesterday, my Instagram account was hacked. I managed to regain access by changing the password via email this morning. However, this afternoon, I was forcibly logged out. When trying to log back in with my account name, I received a message stating that the username didn't exist. To investigate, I asked a friend to check a photo they tagged me in to verify if my username had been changed. After finding out that it had indeed been altered, I attempted to reset the password via email without success, indicating that the hacker might have changed it. Subsequently, when trying the new username with my password, the account was not found. Upon further inquiry, I discovered that I was no longer tagged in any posts and both my original Instagram name and the altered one were unsearchable. I fear that my account may have been deleted. Is there any way to recover the account and enhance its security measures?

Hello, I have two separate Instagram accounts for business and one for personal use. Two of them use the same email address but have different usernames. The hacker changed my username to "erich_20colby," replacing the original "jengemious," which is still visible in the account description. Hello, I manage two Instagram accounts for my business and one personal account. Two of these accounts use the same email address but have different usernames. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to find out that my personal IG account was hacked. The hacker changed the email address and username associated with my account. Despite trying to reset it, I couldn't regain access. When I try using my phone number, it only redirects me to my business account. Currently, my username on the hacked account has been changed to erich_20colby from jengemious. You can still see the original username in the description section. In my profile, you will find our company website, gemious ltd, in the footer. I am willing to provide pictures of me, my kids, my house, and even my dog to confirm my identity. Hello, I am writing to address an issue regarding an Instagram account belonging to a 15-year-old girl named Malu Travejo. She has a large following of around 7 million users. The concern stems from the fact that she frequently posts inappropriate images showing her breasts and buttocks, with some photos only partially covering her nipples and others featuring her in thong underwear. Despite my efforts to report these photos, Instagram has not taken them down. According to Instagram's community guidelines, any nude or partially nude photos, especially of minors, should be removed. Given that she is only 15 years old and often partially nude in her pictures, I find it troubling that Instagram has not enforced their guidelines in this case. It seems that her popularity may be influencing Instagram's decision not to act, which is concerning considering the nature of the content involving an underage individual.
