On Friday, July **, ****, I discovered my Instagram account had been hacked. My existing user ID and password had both been changed rendering access to my account impossible. After following all (useless) troubleshooting techniques for dealing with a hacked account, as suggested on the Instegam site, I reported the problem to Instagram’s Customer Support and have only received a scant few repeated requests to verify ownership of the account. Twice they requested I send a photo holding a code provided. I complied immediately. Then two more directives were given to verify my email and contact information. I also provided those immediately. It has been six days since my issue began and I have seen ZERO resolution and **** POOR customer service. I have no idea what havoc is being wreaked on my account by hackers and Instagram support seems to not give a ****.
GetHuman-mimit did not yet indicate what Instagram should do to make this right.
