On September ** or **, I placed an order to be delivered on Sept. ** to the Bechtel International Center, *** Capistrano Way.*These were groceries from Safeway. I wanted delivery between * and * a.m., but the Instacart options for delivery started at * to ** a.m., so I called to see if it was possible to have the order delivered sooner. During the process, two things happened. My order was confirmed and I received an email to this effect, and then, suddenly, my order was cancelled! The amount was changed to zero! I still needed the groceries, and called Instacart to report this and get my account reinstated. The help desk (Gustavo) said he would send this to a "higher level", and someone would call me within * hours.*I received no call, but I received an email from https:**instacart.zendesk.com*requests ********. I was asked to send proof of my identity (drivers license) and a photocopy of my credit card. This seemed highly suspicious to me, and I felt it could be a sham or fraud, so I have not sent this info. However, I would like my account reinstated, or to start a new account. I had planned to use Instacart every week for the coming year, and had signed up for the Instacart Express. The free period expired on ****. Can this account be reinstated, or should I try to open a new account, or use a different grocery delivery service? If it cannot be reinstated, I would like a refund of my $*** Instacart Express investment. Thank you for your help with this.
