I don't know who else to contact because it seems impossible to reach anyone at IDES (I've called over *** times last Thursday and Friday!) I’ve been unable to work since the middle of March and have yet to receive any of my unemployment insurance due, and it’s severely impacting my whole family. I’m so confused as to how to properly file*certify, since I’ve received conflicting information from the few people I have managed to get in touch with, and I still haven’t to received any benefits. ****I began a career as a freelance musician and audio engineer at the beginning of this year, and I seem to be the only person in my band that has yet to receive any benefits. We were in the process of booking both national and international dates for tours this Summer* however, the stay-at-home order has forced us to cancel all dates until further notice. ****I have documentation of all my attempts to file and certify for UE benefits. On the third application attempt, I successfully filed my initial **** unemployment claim on April *. The online system said that my first certification date would be April **th, for which I certified for benefits and never received payment. I was patient because I understood the fact that all Illinois websites are written in computer languages so far beyond their obsolescence that the only way to fix it is to erase and rebuild from scratch.(Please hire a better IT department because the current one does a terrible job.) ****It is worth mentioning that I made several call attempts on a daily basis after initially filing because I never received a direct confirmation that my application was received. I did not receive mail correspondence until April **th, TWO DAYS AFTER my scheduled phone interview, April **nd at **am. My phone was available to me each day of that week. ****To this day, I have never received a phone call from IDES regarding my **** UE insurance. After ** days of calling, I finally reached someone at IDES who told me to certify on May **th. This conflicted with my original certification day because it meant that I would miss my certification day on May *. ****I attempted to certify on May *, I was unable to file online or through Teleserve. Unfortunately, the website was down and the phone system would not work. I called the Teleserve hotline last week and the system indicated that my benefits were suspended for the week of May *-*, even though the IDES rep told me not to certify until May **. I have documentation of my failed attempts on May *th, as well as the following Thursday and Friday. ****Needless to say, it has been:*** week since I last certified,** month since I first certified, ** *** weeks since I filed my claim, *and I have received ZERO unemployment benefits!****Please look into my account and let me know how I can quickly straighten this out. Thank you in advance for taking the time to look into this - my family needs this issue to be resolved as soon as possible, as we have now been without my income for two months and counting. I look forward to hearing from you, either via email or (preferably) by phone.
