I was at the West Chester Ohio location to buy a particular love seat for my fianc*. After standing in the line that wrapped around the building, I found the last love seat of that kind in the isle. It was an Ektorp. I then searched for the material cover only to find that shelf completely empty. I spoke with the gentleman on the right at the information desk. He confirmed that there were no covers and that the weren’t expecting any until after September. I asked if the Ektorp could be discounted since it was the last one and there were no material covers to put on it. The gentleman said that they would give me a discount at the register. So, I stood in line for another ** minutes and was directed to register ** where the employee had to call for the manager because she could not give the discount. I explained to the manager that this was the last Ektorp loveseat, but there wasn’t any covers for it and that I was told that the gentleman at the information desk said that I could get it discounted. The manager told me that the gentleman had no authority to offer discounts and that she was not going to give a discount for a new item that had nothing wrong with it. I told her that I had been here for hours and that I drove all the way here for this one thing. She said no discount. I was astounded and offended. I left the store angry and empty handed
