Having something you bought at IKEA and delivered at home is not 'marketingly' an easy and encouraging thing to do. I strongly do not recommend it.*to begin with, no precise hour is given. Which becomes a real problem when you live in a building where the elevator cannot be blocked without any further precision. *Our example: our furniture were booked to be delivered on Sunday **th between *:** and *:**pm. Nobody showed up. On Monday we spent the whole mid-morning trying to have on the phone and after * consecutive hours, a lady checked and explained compassionately that as one item was missing in their warehouse the delivery could not be done. Okay. So why no call? no email? no nothing? why? And confirmation that THE delivery will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday at *:** a.m a call announced the coming of the furniture without any additionnal precision. At *:** we called someone at the company who tactlessly, authoritatively, imperiously and uncompromisingly grumbled that they do not know when they will be there and threatens that if the elevator was not available, furniture will be left on the hall. When we know that the delivery is not free (**$), that our building does not apply the policy of blocking indefinitely the elevator and that we have been lockdowned * days to get our order. This is most certainly the last time I paid something at your store as customers are treated like beasts. So, to sum up the whole adventure: * days of lockdown, one item missing without notice that led us to go back and pay it separately and finally the uncertainty of having our order delivered. Who can do better ?
