I bought an Ektorp cover that was said to fit my Ektorp chaise lounge, despite being intended for both a chaise and couch. After waiting for my spouse to assist with installation and dealing with home renovation/insurance matters, I attempted to put on the cover and it doesn't fit. Feeling really frustrated! The closest IKEA is 3 hours away, so it will be a while before I can go there. I'm worried there might be a time limit for returns. Can anyone offer some advice? Thank you!

I am incredibly disappointed that we were unable to purchase a Christmas tree from the Warrington store for the second year in a row. We checked the website before going there, but there was no mention that they were out of stock. We had to buy a tree for £50 from another place, which added to our Christmas expenses. The person who assisted us mentioned that the manager chose to buy fewer trees this year, but the reason is unclear. I wanted to share our disappointment with you as well as other customers who may face the same issue.

Hello, I recently purchased cabinets and countertops from IKEA. My contractor set up the cabinets, but when IKEA came to check, they said it was unlevel and unable to template. The salesperson had mentioned a $[redacted] charge for each visit if it was unlevel when we purchased the countertops. I called IKEA to request a price adjustment, and Karina Critch issued a form on Dec 2, [redacted], charging me $[redacted] plus tax, citing that it was after templating. However, this is not accurate as I do not want to cancel it if it has already been templated. I have emailed Karina about the situation, but she has not responded. I trust IKEA and have purchased many items from there, so I am disappointed by this experience. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly. Thank you. Sunny Sun

I recently received my order of a chest drawer and some other items. Today, as I began assembling the chest drawer, I noticed that one part was broken. I tried to contact customer service for assistance, but the wait times are too long. I am unsure if the missing part is in the other box, as I have only opened one so far. Despite this, I attempted to proceed with the assembly, but unfortunately, it did not work without the broken piece.

I own an Ikea TV unit, possibly Besta, with sliding doors to conceal the TV. We're upgrading to a 65" TV, and I'm struggling to find a similar unit that can hide the larger screen from kids and pets. Despite my attempts to design one using Ikea pieces, like considering using a wardrobe, I can't seem to make it work. Are there designers available who could offer suggestions? Thanks, Pete.

Dear Customer Service, I recently bought a baby mattress from Ikea Croydon and noticed a small tear in the stitching upon unpacking it. Concerned about the potential for it to worsen over time, I am keen on swapping it for a new one. Yesterday, we received the Alex drawer along with other items we ordered. Unfortunately, after spending all day assembling it, my husband discovered that two of the same side drawers were sent - both were either lefts or rights, making it impossible to connect them. I purchased an item for delivery, but I wasn't home during the scheduled time. I ended up buying it from the store instead for a gift. I've been attempting to cancel the order for a week without success. Even though I thought I canceled it over the phone, I didn't receive a confirmation and my credit card hasn't been refunded. I've tried calling customer service multiple times, but I keep getting disconnected due to high call volumes. The delivery company confirmed the item is still waiting for IKEA's retrieval. While baking cookies, I placed my Ikea [redacted]+ Gunstig magnetic pot stand, which is designed to withstand a maximum temperature of [redacted]°C, in the oven at [redacted]°C for 20 minutes. It was attached to the cookie tray but somehow detached when I removed the tray. Upon taking it out, I noticed a strong chemical smell and a slight amount of smoke. I am now worried about any potential health risks. The product is made of silicone rubber and a Neodymium magnet.

Yesterday, I purchased a BEKANT Desk in white from Ikea. Unfortunately, I realized that the size I selected is not suitable for my needs once I got home. I'm inquiring about the possibility of returning the desk, even though it has already been assembled and I no longer have the original packaging. If a return is feasible, I am willing to safely return the desk to the store in order to exchange it for a different size. Thank you for your assistance.

We ordered 12 bedroom furnishings, but the bed siderails were missing from the delivery despite being paid for. The delivery process itself went well, but the missing item caused inconvenience as our daughter had to sleep on the couch due to the incomplete bed. We contacted the store to have the item prepared for pick up, but it wasn't ready when we arrived, leading to additional waiting time on top of the hour-long drive back. Hello! I purchased a Kura bed in June, but when I started assembling it recently in my new house, I found that the two pieces of wood required to build the steps to the top bunk and three screws are missing. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt but can provide proof of purchase through my bank statement. I have always been satisfied with your products in the past and was hoping if it's possible to get these missing items replaced so I can finish assembling the bed. Thank you!

I had arranged for the delivery on Saturday 7th in the evening, but it did not arrive. After speaking with about 4 different representatives over the phone, we agreed on rescheduling the delivery to Wednesday 11th in the evening. However, on Monday 9th, I received a message stating that the delivery was scheduled for a different date, which was not our agreement. I promptly went on the app and changed it back to Wednesday 11th. I am feeling very stressed and dissatisfied with the situation and would greatly appreciate confirmation that the delivery will indeed occur on Wednesday 11th as we originally arranged.

I visited the Glasgow store on November 18 and bought a double set of Malm drawers for [redacted] pounds. When I tried to assemble them at home, I discovered the top was broken, requiring another trip of 30 miles back to the store. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. I gave my details for a replacement to be sent home, but after a week, it still hadn't arrived. Upon checking online, I found out the parcel was in Birmingham instead of Wishaw due to incorrect details provided by the staff. After multiple calls to DHL, the parcel finally arrived, only to be damaged as well. I am frustrated with these errors and do not want to return to the store again. I am hoping for a swift resolution to this situation. Thank you.

I arranged for an IKEA delivery yesterday, but I received an email in the morning indicating that my order has been delayed until Thursday. I had paid for delivery but was surprised by the delay. The explanation provided was mechanical issues. Moreover, I had also scheduled furniture assembly through TaskRabbit for today. Although I reached out to the assigned tasker promptly after being informed by IKEA, a new date with the tasker has not been confirmed yet. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, leading me to reschedule my IKEA and TaskRabbit appointments, as well as other plans. Given the inconvenience caused by this last-minute change, I believe some form of compensation is warranted.

I purchased a Tidafors corner sofa in April (Order No. [redacted]) and it was delivered at the end of April. Upon receiving it, I was surprised by how uncomfortable it is. Despite trying to adjust to it, it has been causing me back pain whenever I sit on it. I realized that the showroom model had been broken in by numerous people, which won't happen with mine since I live alone and use it minimally due to work. I purchased a kitchen from Ikea in [redacted], which included the Realistisk Tjanlig oven with a 5-year guarantee. Unfortunately, the oven is not working on the forced air setting – it does not heat up when switched on. I have been trying to contact Ikea by phone, without success in reaching an authorized service provider. Despite waiting for over 10 minutes each time, I have been unable to speak to anyone. The brochure does not list any contact numbers for this specific oven. I would greatly appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue as I need the oven fixed before Christmas.

I bought an item in June and accidentally left it at the counter. I called customer service immediately, and they assured me to bring in the receipt for assistance. Since I only visit the store once a year and live far away, they confirmed that having the receipt would suffice. However, when my friend tried to retrieve the item today, they refused, citing that I waited too long. Despite being told otherwise, they didn't honor the commitment. Given my distance from the store and preference for online shopping due to a 1 hour 45 minutes commute, I'm unsure how to proceed to get my item back.
