I ordered a kitchen and took advantage of the free delivery, delivery date was agreed for ********, i took the day off and waited, i never got a call for any confirmation.*After waiting all day i checked on the order online, it said attempted i called IKEA and after *.* hours got through they told me nobody was home when they called, i know this to be untrue, i was home all day, Then when asked they said they got no answer from my phone, well they were calling the wrong number, i corrected it online several days before, i then corrected them, they said they would reschedule for ******** it never happened the shipping compnay got no notification, i then wait on the phone for *.* hours to IKEA the person said that they made a mistake they would reschedule for ******** i asked them to make sure they said yes, i called the shipping company who said they had nothing, but they would make sure i got delivered on ***, the on *** i got an email from IKEA saying the delivery would **** i cannot be there on this date so i called the shipping company and asked that they honor the delivery date of *** they said yes they would. Then on *** i got nothing called the shipping company who said they received an email after i spoke with them to deliver on **** so they were going to deliver ****, so i called IKEA after *.* hours a person told me they could do nothing, but i could try the resolutions dept at IKEA they connected me, *.* hours later a person answered she did her best she contacted the shipping and guaranteed i would get delivery on *** and that she had the promise of the shipping company, i got a confirmation call from the shipping company the night of *** telling me that my delivery would be between *pm and *pm, i waited from *-* no sign of my kitchen! i called the shipping company and they said yes your delivery will be coming on ****, they had no idea about the promise of ***, as i mentioned i cannot take a delivery on ****!!!!! so i called IKEA again and after *.* hours the delivery person could offer no resolution, they connected me to RESOLUTIONS again during the *.* hour wait for somebody to answer i called the shipping company and they have now promised delivery for **** which is the next day i can take delivery of the kitchen.**The biggest issue here is the ridiculous time it takes to contact IKEA, the lack of contact between IKEA and the shipping company, the ** hour reschedule window, the impossible way to get the shipping company to just work with the customer. If i had know this was going be like this i would have picked the kitchen up myself the day i ordered it, but free delivery and having help deliver it sounded too good to be true. And now i know it is not true.**terrible terrible experience, i wasted * days vacation to sit and be on hold on a phone listening to the IKEA jiggle about how you care about customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
