We live about an hour and ** minutes from the nearest Ikea. We knew wanted any items we purchased to be deilvered, and assembled for us. We knew this was a charge, but were fine with it. I called ahead and waited on hold for nearly an hour before I got someone and verfied over the phone that they offered BOTH delivery and assembly in our area. So today we went to the store and purchased our items. We also verfied with our sales person that both delivery and assembly were offered in our area. However, after picking our items and paying for them, we went over to schedule delivery and assembly to be told that they don't offer assembly, just delivery. I explained that we had been told otherwise by both called customer service and the sales floor, but were told that was wrong. On top of that the girl was not helpful. Twice without saying a word she walked away from the computer and vanished without ever saying a word. We'd really like to get the stuff assemebled. I called the customer service line again after we got home (another hour and ** minute drive) and were told they DO offer assembly. ***) We'd like assembly.

GetHuman-jccookf did not yet indicate what Ikea should do to make this right.
