Booking * *******Case * *********Iceland Northern Lights Getaway*Price charged on cc was more than advertised amount (price good through June **). *Booking made June ** *:** pm. Couldn’t reach Icelandair to resolve by phone (“not taking calls”). *I wish to cancel this booking in accordance with US department of Transportation **-hr cancellation policy. Sent that request by email **** at *:** pm, have had no response. Called at *:** pm today-was *** in the queue! *Only acceptable resolution is to cancel with no penalty under the **-hr regulation.
GetHuman-suekello did not yet indicate what Icelandair should do to make this right.

As a US customer I had the right to cancel within ** hours. But I couldn’t get through by telephone to request the cancellation and an email I sent was acknowledged by a form email saying it would be processed- when I had no idea. I replied to that email requesting immediate cancellation. I called my cc to alert them I might have to dispute the charge. They told me to keep trying to reach Iceland while documenting attempts. Then I asked for Gethuman’s help. Yesterday morning I received an em from Iceland cancelling, and saying there will be a credit issued to my cc. All this could have been avoided if customer service could take calls. I would have lik d the trip if my concerns about the increased price could have been discussed. When I realized I’d never be able to get immediate help if a problem came up on the trip. I lost all confidence in the airline package. Can you tell me if gethuman interceded on my behalf?
