I submitted my [redacted] and [redacted] taxes in April [redacted], but due to Covid-19, there were delays. Recently, the IRS sent a letter to my old address (my brother's residence where I used to live), instead of the address on my returns, regarding possible fraud for the [redacted] tax year. After verifying it, I received the [redacted] return. However, I haven't received any alerts about the [redacted] return. The person who lived with me has moved, complicating matters. I'm unsure how to confirm the status of my [redacted] return, which is more substantial than the [redacted] one. I need the funds but feel stuck. How can I locate the missing return? Why did the IRS contact the incorrect address? My main goal is to verify the return to receive my refund promptly.

I have been trying to reach someone regarding my refund since last week. I was informed it would take 21 days from the filing date, with a projected date of February 12th according to my tax preparer. However, as of yesterday, I was informed that there is still no set date for my refund. I am aware it will be a paper check due to my lost card, but the delay in getting a date is frustrating. My taxes were due on February 9th, and the system estimated February 12th for processing. It has now been more than 21 days, and I am seeking clarification on the current status of my refund.

I submitted my tax return at the beginning of February, but whenever I check the status of my refund, it still shows as being processed. In [redacted], my mother-in-law mistakenly claimed myself, my partner, and our eldest child as dependents on her taxes. She corrected this last June but we still haven't received any stimulus payments. My partner and I also haven't received any stimulus payments for our second child. Additionally, my mother-in-law received two payments for our other child. The financial strain of COVID has been tough on our family, and I'm hoping for some help in understanding why we haven't received our refund or stimulus payments yet. Thank you for your time, stay safe, and have a great day!

When attempting to e-file my [redacted] taxes, I encounter an error message regarding my [redacted] AGI mismatch. I have verified that the AGI on line 8b matches on both my [redacted] tax transcript from the IRS website and TurboTax, yet my return continues to be rejected. Despite reaching out to various tax professionals for assistance, I have been unable to resolve this issue. My attempts to contact the IRS have been unsuccessful as they are not currently accepting calls. This situation is urgent as I have been unemployed since September 10, [redacted], unsure of when I will return to work. It is crucial for me to e-file promptly to receive my refund to sustain our electricity and gas services. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you and may blessings be upon you.

I have not received my economic stimulus payment in my bank account. I am an elderly person who has been permanently disabled since August [redacted] after working as a Registered Nurse for 33.5 years. Additionally, my home, which I built over 33.5 years and had a significant equity of over $1.76 million, was stolen from me in [redacted]. I had invested $[redacted],[redacted] of my savings in 2[redacted] and added $[redacted],[redacted] for further upgrades from 2[redacted] to ensure my family would have a secure place to live if anything happened to me. Despite reporting the theft involving Chase Bank, 65 lawyers from PwC, and complicit judges, no action was taken to stop the fraudulent activities. Now, I am left homeless at 68 years old and permanently disabled. The lack of enforcement of laws, corrupt officials, and injustice in the system have failed me and many others who have faced similar situations. I believe those responsible should face severe penalties, including mandatory prison sentences and fines to repay the debts owed. I will continue to advocate for justice and integrity in society for myself and others affected by such injustices. -Karen R. S., R.N.

I submitted a $[redacted] payment towards my IRS bill on January 4. Although I didn't establish a payment agreement until a month later, my initial bill was $[redacted].13. The $[redacted] payment was not reflected, and despite having until May 21, [redacted] to fulfill my installment agreement, I am uncertain why new charges totaling $48.75 for failure to pay and $18.95 for interest have been added. I plan to pay the total amount today but seek assistance in removing these additional charges and ensuring the $[redacted] payment made in January is credited correctly on the website. My credit union has confirmed the payment, advising that the IRS needs to verify this transaction.

I am facing an issue with my children's stimulus checks. My ex-husband wrongly claimed my daughter, although I care for her most of the time. Years ago, I allowed a friend's fiance to claim my son when we lived with them. However, now they are keeping his stimulus checks. Despite asking them to return the money, they used it for child support, which is unfair. I regret my decision and want to remove my son from their tax returns. I was advised that they need to file an Amended Return to remove him. Unfortunately, I cannot do it myself. I need guidance on how to proceed to rectify the situation and ensure my son is not claimed by them anymore.

Hello. I am married, and my wife is unemployed, while I am a [redacted]% disabled Veteran. My taxable income is $4,[redacted] below the threshold for filing taxes. When attempting to file previously, the system indicated that I would receive no refund due to my income level. Both my wife and I received last year's stimulus payments. While she received this year's payment promptly through direct deposit, I have not received anything. Although my total income for the year was $79,[redacted], only $21,[redacted] of it was taxable. Last year, with a similar income, I received both stimulus checks. I am still $4,[redacted] below the filing threshold this year. Despite checking your site regularly, there is no information regarding my stimulus payment. I wonder if I should file taxes this year with zero return or if there was possibly an error with my direct deposit. I seek guidance on how to address this. Thank you for your help.

I have yet to receive any stimulus payments, not even the first one. I contacted the IRS, and they have initiated two traces on my first stimulus payment but have not provided any resolution. After exploring the available help tools online, I learned that if stimulus payments were not received, filing a [redacted] tax return or a [redacted] tax return, even without any income to report, is recommended. I filed my tax return in early February, and it was accepted on February 12. I supplied my direct deposit details. Typically, the IRS states that nine out of 10 individuals who opt for direct deposit receive their tax refunds within 21 days from February 12. However, I have yet to receive my refund, and it appears that it has not been processed yet. I am seeking assistance to expedite the review of my return to ensure I receive the entitled stimulus payments.

I need clarification on the stimulus checks. Are they for individuals or for the entire family? My daughter came back home due to her divorce. She returned in October, before the second stimulus check was issued. The joint bank account with her husband was closed, so the check was sent to their current address. Unfortunately, her husband deposited the money into HIS account and is refusing to give any to my daughter, claiming it is for the family. Although she has filed taxes for [redacted], she didn't earn enough to receive a refund, leaving her concerned that the same scenario will occur with the next stimulus. It seems to me that he has essentially taken the money from her. Whom should I contact or how can I assist her in receiving her share of the funds? Thank you.

Hello, My name is Chinh Pham, and I am reaching out with a situation regarding my wife, a USA citizen, and me, a Canadian citizen. We have all the necessary documents, including a wedding certificate, will, and inheritance certificate, to collect my late father-in-law's inheritance in California. The Tax Manager, Mr. Jack Grusemenyer, is requesting a wire transfer of over $15,[redacted] USD for the release of the inheritance. Despite the pressure, I am hesitant to proceed with this payment method due to warnings of a potential scam. In California, inheritance is not subject to state tax, and I've already paid Mr. Grusemenyer $5,[redacted], with promises of a refund that seem to be changing. My lawyer, Nancy Hopkins, who was appointed by my late father-in-law, is insisting on the wire transfer payment, threatening the loss of the entire estate if not paid. Given our financial constraints, this situation is causing significant distress. I am considering reporting this matter to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and IRS phishing. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed with fulfilling any legitimate tax obligations and claiming the inheritance promptly. I have ample documentation to support my case. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Chinh Pham PS: I urge you to investigate the individuals involved, including Nancy Hopkins and Jack Grusemenyer, for their suspicious conduct.

I e-filed my [redacted] taxes on February 16, [redacted]. Initially, I saw the IRS confirmed receipt, but now the status bar is missing and it simply states that my taxes are still being processed with no date provided. I don't understand the delay since I received my state taxes and stimulus for two people, although I should have received it for three as I had a baby in May [redacted]. I am expecting $[redacted] for my little boy. I haven't received any communication from the IRS, so I'm unsure about the status. Waiting until December, like I did for my [redacted] return, is not ideal. As a mother of two babies, having my return sooner would be incredibly helpful. Thank you for your assistance. - K. N.

After receiving the first stimulus payment, I was advised to file a tax return. I initially used TurboTax, but later realized I needed to use the non-filer tool from the IRS. I missed out on the second stimulus payment, so I filed a tax return for the Recovery Rebate Credit through Free Tax USA's website. Following this, I received a 5071C letter from the IRS for identity verification. Despite multiple failed attempts to reach them by phone and inability to verify online due to the lack of credit cards or bank accounts, I am now trying to schedule an appointment at the local office. I urgently need this stimulus as I am without income and dependents. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

One of the senior residents in our community received Letter 6331C from the IRS requesting identity verification. Due to being 78 years old, disabled, and visually impaired, it's challenging to visit the nearest IRS office located 90 miles away. Since he doesn't own a computer, I'm assisting him in the process. However, verifying online is proving difficult as he doesn't have a mortgage, credit card, or even a debit card. His tax return filing history is sparse, with the most recent one completed by a CPA in March [redacted] for stimulus checks. With no income of his own, relying on a niece for support, and staying in housing authority accommodations, we're facing obstacles in resolving this issue. Despite multiple attempts to contact the IRS for assistance, we haven't been able to speak with a representative. Assistance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

However, online verification is proving challenging as he does not have a mortgage, credit card, or even a debit card. He has not filed taxes in decades, only doing so recently with help from a CPA to receive stimulus checks. Living with no income and supported by a niece in public housing, we are struggling to navigate the verification process. Attempts to reach a representative have been unsuccessful. TurboTax mistakenly provided the IRS with incorrect bank information for me, which was directed to a closed account. It has been over a month since the bank rejected the deposit, and I'm still waiting for a paper check to be sent. I've attempted to contact them for weeks, but the high call volume prevents me from reaching anyone. The process of waiting for a paper check is frustrating, and I wonder why there isn't an option to update direct deposit details with the IRS. It seems unreasonable to wait this long for a check. It would make sense for them to use the information from my previous returns or stimulus checks to send my refund. I feel helpless as TurboTax and my bank are unable to assist, and the IRS seems unreachable. The delay in receiving my money is putting me in a tough spot, and I hope to resolve this issue soon.

I believe my children's stimulus payments were mistakenly sent to the wrong accounts. Although my children live with me full-time, the account holders are refusing to return the funds. My son and daughter are owed payments from all three stimulus checks, which have not reached them. The tax office informed me there is little we can do, but I feel it is unjust. I am struggling to raise my kids on a limited income and need the money they are entitled to. The tax worker also mentioned difficulties regarding claiming my son on taxes, as another couple has claimed him erroneously. I am determined to resolve this situation and ensure my children receive what is rightfully theirs. It is essential to rectify this and prevent any further mishandling of the stimulus funds.
