My name is Paula Catherine Brennan. My date of birth is **********. I'm extremely confused. I entered in my direct deposit information on h&r block as if I were doing a tax refund just so that they would have my direct deposit information and most updated address. This became quickly noticeable that honestly it was unnecessary for me to file because I did not work one day last year. *I chose h&r block specifically because they lead me through step-by-step how to complete the return just to receive my stimulus payment check. When I check the where's my payment tool on the IRS website it shows that there is a paper check (again even though I entered in all of my direct deposit accounting and routing number information) and it now shows on the where's my payment website that it was scheduled to be mailed out on May **th. It is now May **st and I have yet to receive a payment either by direct deposit or paper check and I have yet to be able to get through on any one of the telephone numbers to the IRS no matter how long I hold. I understand the extreme amount of phone calls they're receiving but I need help and an answer as to whether or not the paper check actually went out into the mail on May **th as scheduled. I would like to know also if it is coming by paper check and assuming it is, did it end up going out into the mail on the date of May **th which was just this past Monday? How many days should I expect before I receive the check in my mailbox? My other very important question * the representative is that I have an open child support case that the respondent, the biological father (who is over $**,*** in arrears) of my beautiful daughter who is * years old is also eligible for and I'm sure is receiving his stimulus check because he falls within the guidelines. I would like to know what day those checks started to be intercepted through the IRS and issued to the petitioner and in this case that would be me, Paula Brennan. I am hearing conflicting information via the television, the internet etc if they started to issue those checks or direct deposits on May *st. I think I need to express how quickly I need to receive a response back and as much information as possible considering my family's well-being during this covid-** pandemic because I cannot come up with the large amount of money that I am due and at this point how does anyone expect me to be able to care for my small child?
