I have sent my 2[redacted] forms three times and keep receiving requests for them. Why can't I just e-file to correct this? I am waiting for my [redacted] returns while struggling to feed my two small kids and falling behind on bills and house payments. I understand there are procedures in place, but I need to resolve this quickly. I've been told to wait six weeks and check the aging. All three mailing tracking numbers show it was received, one was even signed for, and still, there's been no progress. The stimulus payment is weeks away, and due to the virus, I can't receive donations. I am just trying to provide for my kids and keep our home. Please assist me.

My name is Shawn and I have been struggling to file my taxes through Credit Karma's e-file service due to an error with my birthdate. Contacting customer support has not resolved the issue, and I am unable to leave my house to seek assistance due to the current situation. I was also informed that I may not receive the stimulus check because I did not file in [redacted]. I need urgent help as I am sick and in a difficult situation.

Hello, recently my ex-husband used TurboTax to file my [redacted] taxes. Unfortunately, he mistakenly entered the wrong savings account number by one digit, causing my refund to be deposited into someone else's account at the same credit union as mine. The credit union has reached out to him, and he needs to provide written permission to have the money returned to the IRS. However, despite his agreement, he has not yet given this permission after over a week. I've contacted the IRS, who advised me to call back on Monday, March 30, to start a trace on the money. I've been diligently trying to reach the IRS since then but have been unable to speak to anyone. The automated message states that live help is unavailable. I am also concerned about my upcoming stimulus check, as I fear it might face the same issue. As I am currently furloughed without pay due to COVID-19, this situation has become critical for me. I am in dire need of assistance and unsure of what steps to take next.

My wife and son moved out of the household 40 days ago and are not returning. I understand that the stimulus check should be $[redacted] for all three of us. According to our joint tax filing, I am entitled to $[redacted]. I want my part sent to me directly as they are residing at my mother-in-law's address on [redacted] East Mount Morris Rd, Otisville, MI. I need the payment delayed until this is resolved to ensure I receive my portion for my household since I am the only one living here. The taxes were set up for direct deposit on an H&R Block card. What steps should I take to separate the payment so that each of us receives our share accordingly?

Since my separation from my husband in November [redacted], we have been living apart, with him moving in with his girlfriend a couple of years later. In October [redacted], I initiated divorce proceedings. I am unsure if I need to itemize deductions on my taxes if he does so. Despite not having any deductions to claim, I have noticed a decrease in my tax return over the past few years after adjusting my W4 whenever I received a raise. This year, my return was only $[redacted] compared to the usual $[redacted]. I fear that if I have to itemize, I will only receive $[redacted] back. I am also unsure if my husband has filed his taxes yet and in what manner. Attempts to communicate with him have been unsuccessful due to his drinking. I am seeking assistance to navigate these tax concerns.

I was informed that the reason my NOTV refund has not been received is due to needing to verify my address. Despite providing my current address and my account numbers being updated with this information, a verification letter was sent to an outdated address from two years ago, making it impossible for me to respond. I was told a new verification letter would be sent promptly, but it has been over two weeks with no sign of it. This unnecessary delay has now prevented me from addressing the issue with the IRS. The whole situation is frustrating, and I feel the process has been handled irresponsibly.

I am still waiting for my refund. It has been over 21 days, and there is no information available regarding the delay or when I can expect to receive it. My current situation is difficult as my job is closed, and I have five children to support with no income. My landlord and the electric company are not understanding of my circumstances. I hope to receive the refund soon as it will greatly help my family during this challenging time. Thank you.

I, Otto Alvarez, e-filed my taxes on 2/19/[redacted] through Turbo Tax. The expected refund on 3/11/[redacted] did not come, and the IRS website states my return is still processing. The IRS requested forms 1095A and [redacted], which I submitted along with a letter explaining my situation. I lost my job in November [redacted] and had employer insurance until then. After that, I enrolled in Obama Care as unemployed with a $38 monthly premium, informed by the marketplace. Now the IRS says I need to reconcile form [redacted] or they'll deduct $[redacted] for November and December [redacted] from my refund, paid by the government. I clarified to the IRS that I got the health insurance knowing I'd pay $38 monthly, unaware of the government's payment. I feel lost without knowing how to resolve this and waiting for the refund crucial for my unemployment situation during these uncertain times.

I recently came across a form in my old documents that I had never seen before. After years of trying to retrieve my children's savings bonds that were gifted to my son, Shane L., born on 11/16/[redacted], and my daughter, Lillian L., born on 09/28/[redacted], I finally managed to fill out the necessary paperwork. Unfortunately, the completed paperwork mysteriously went missing. While sifting through my storage, I stumbled upon a document pertaining to my children's bonds dated [redacted]. The form contains information such as the Fed identification # 20-[redacted] and taxpayer # [redacted], related to my ex-husband with whom I had a joint account. The Form [redacted]-INT details interest income, with a green [redacted] and fed income tax withheld. There were a total of four savings bonds, with early withdrawal penalties and interest income noted. The bonds were gifted to my children on occasions such as christening, birthdays, and confirmations. I am seeking help to understand and recover these bonds for my children, unsure of the next steps. Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jennifer L.

My daughter, a single mother with a 7-year-old son and a medical condition of seizures, lives with me. She filed her taxes online, but before the office closed due to the shutdown, she was asked to verify herself over the phone. Despite her attempts, she was unsuccessful. She recently lost her Medicaid and TANF benefits as she can only work 8 to 10 hours per week due to her health. With the pandemic causing her to be out of work entirely, I, Linda W., am struggling to get assistance. I tried contacting the local IRS advocate but only encountered a rude woman named Kim J. Hamilton (ID#[redacted]). She mentioned email verification, but my daughter already tried that to no avail. We are in desperate need of help, especially with accessing the stimulus check. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated in this challenging situation.

Since [redacted], I have been dealing with identity theft issues and have an assigned pin from the IRS. However, each time I attempt to access my IRS account, my pin is rejected. Requesting a username retrieval or password reset yields no email responses. I tried using the Get My Payment tool during the pandemic, but as a tax filer for [redacted] without direct deposit details, my status remains unavailable. I am frustrated by the lack of options to update my account information swiftly, especially as waiting for a paper check is not feasible for me. It would be helpful if there was a way to input my pin in the Get My Payment tool, particularly for individuals like me with sensitive accounts due to identity theft concerns.

I have a question regarding the stimulus payment. I have not filed taxes in recent years due to not working or earning below the filing threshold. I recently learned about the non-filer payment information form. Despite my prior non-filing status, I was informed I could still receive a stimulus payment by completing the form. I completed and submitted it last night, receiving an email confirming its acceptance by the IRS with a submission ID. I am unsure of the next steps and what to anticipate now that they have accepted my non-filer payment information form. Should I expect to receive a payment soon? I can be reached via email at [redacted] Thank you.

I have not yet received my refund. After checking with the company to process my income tax, they confirmed that my income tax has been processed. Although I received my state taxes, I have not received my federal income tax refund. H&R Block informed me that my federal funds were used to pay off a bill I owe, but I have not received any official communication from the government explaining this action. I would appreciate a call back or an email response to discuss this matter further. You can reach me at VanTara [redacted] or at [redacted]. I am facing financial difficulties as I am caring for my child who tested positive for Covid-19, and I have been unemployed since October. My younger daughter is starting college, and I intended to use my tax refund to buy her books and pay my rent. I have been managing with savings from last year's tax refund, which I have been using for groceries and medication. I have documentation from the health department regarding my daughter's illness.

I noticed on my tax return that I owed $1,[redacted]. My tax preparer arranged for payments of $[redacted] to be taken from my account. Due to losing my job because of the coronavirus, I made sure to keep at least $[redacted] in my account to cover the payments until I found new employment. However, this morning I saw that the full $1,[redacted] was withdrawn from my account, leaving me short on funds. I kindly request more time. I read that the IRS might extend the deadline to July, which would be very helpful as I search for a new job after losing two due to the pandemic. I would appreciate it if the IRS could refund the money and grant me an extension as I don't want my account to close while still owing the IRS. Thank you for your assistance. Regards, R.B.

Hello, Thank you for your assistance. I submitted my tax returns for [redacted] and [redacted]. Today, while trying to track my refund, I encountered an issue providing my bank account details. My Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) was negative as per my [redacted] form, but the system didn't accept negative numbers, so I entered '0' for both owed and refunded amounts. However, upon submission, I faced technical difficulties. After guidance from Turbo Tax, I resubmitted the AGI as a positive number but encountered the same error message. Now, when I try to log back in, I receive an error stating either incorrect information or exceeding log-in attempts. I seek confirmation that my submission was successful and that everything is in order. I appreciate any assistance provided. Thank you.

A few years ago, I had to verify my identity with the IRS. I went to the IRS office in Chico with a friend, signed in, showed my ID and documents, answered questions, and left. I never received my refund and assumed it was lost in the mail. After filing the next year and facing banking issues, I didn't receive a letter to verify my identity but later got one when filing the following year. When I contacted the IRS, they said there was no record of me verifying my identity, leaving me confused and frustrated. Despite physically going to the office, there seemed to be a gap in their records. What steps should I take to collect the refunds I'm owed?

I submitted my tax return on February 17, [redacted], using Credit Karma's free service. I recently received a 4883C letter requesting identity verification by phone. Due to the COVID-19 situation, no one is answering the phone. I sent a priority mail letter with my ID, Social Security card, [redacted] tax return, and additional identification documents including a Verizon bill. It was delivered on April 3, [redacted], to the identity verification office in Houston, Texas. The letter required a phone response within 30 days, which I ensured by sending it via 2-day mail. However, I am unable to verify my identity online. I suspect this may be related to identity theft during my 10-year incarceration. I included my contact details in the mailed documents for assistance. I urgently need my tax return and economic stimulus payment due to a significant income loss. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I recently noticed a discrepancy between the social security number on my card and the one linked to my bank accounts. When I replaced my social security card, the new one had a different beginning sequence ([redacted] versus [redacted]) from what was originally registered with my bank. This has created issues when trying to apply for unemployment, as the [redacted] income verification doesn't match. I don't have access to the necessary paperwork due to changing employers. I would appreciate a prompt callback to address this matter.

I used a private tax company to file my taxes. I received my Federal refund but am still waiting on my State refund. I had to collect my refunds from the tax preparer's office, Jaryl E Holmes. I have been reaching out to Mrs. Holmes to inquire about my State refund, but every time I enter the details she gives me on the IRS website, it says it does not match the records. The same issue is occurring when I try to update my payment information for the stimulus check through the IRS "Get My Payment" portal. Mrs. Holmes has now blocked my contact, and I am concerned about not receiving my State refund or being able to update my stimulus payment details. I am seeking advice on how to proceed. Thank you, Deja Caldwell.

I checked the "Get My Payment" portal and saw that my payment was scheduled for yesterday, but it was sent to the wrong account. I consulted with my accountant, who inadvertently used a temporary account for the deposit, resulting in the funds being returned to the IRS. They assured me that the IRS will reissue the payment to the correct account listed on my tax returns. My Social Security number is [redacted]-80-[redacted]. I am unsure why my accountant's account was used as my payment went through correctly to my bank account when I filed my taxes. I am just eager to receive my refund. If you review my [redacted] tax returns, you will find the correct account number ending in [redacted], not the temporary account used. Thank you.
