While working as an admin for Aaron Young's real estate team, I was given set hours and an hourly rate but was paid with personal checks without tax deductions, being classified as an independent contractor. This situation became confusing as I was directed in my tasks during specific hours and had to submit time sheets biweekly. I have not received the necessary "[redacted] form" for tax purposes. I seek guidance on rectifying this matter for tax filing and also addressing overtime compensation for weeks exceeding 40 hours. Furthermore, I was not provided any benefits like medical insurance. It appears that I was misclassified, possibly leading to underpayment.

I recently filed my [redacted] tax return with a tax preparer who made errors and I believe deducted money incorrectly. The IRS has requested records from my children's school and additional information, but the main problem seems to be with the tax preparer. I have reported her and she mentioned that the money she took incorrectly was lost but has been recovered. She suggested giving me a check, but I declined. This is urgent, so I am hoping she will contact me promptly.

Subject: IRS Refund Delay Hello, I completed my tax refund almost a year ago with my tax preparer, Chanel Williams, located at [redacted] Warren Street in Dorchester. However, despite being told it would take 21 days, I have yet to receive my federal refund. I have spent approximately $6,[redacted] on transportation to visit the office twice a week since May, which has caused me emotional distress and financial strain. Chanel claims it is still in process, but after contacting the IRS multiple times and speaking to several staff members and supervisors, I have not received a clear answer. I feel like I am being misled and would like this matter resolved promptly. I have even considered legal action due to the confusion and frustration surrounding this issue. My Social Security number ends in [redacted], and my name is Joel Fauben. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Joel

I have faced challenges keeping a steady job for several years, leading to frequent moves, address changes, and accumulating bills. I believe I am five years behind on filing my taxes and recently received a "Notice of Intent to Seize..." demanding $[redacted] for [redacted] via Certified US Mail. I am requesting A) an extension, B) a reduced amount due, C) a payment plan, D) access to an online account, and E) information about the past five years of filings. I am single with no dependents. I would appreciate any assistance and can be reached via cell phone at [redacted] or by email at [redacted] Thank you, Gerald L.

I requested a new Employer Identification Number for Royal Pathway on December 7, [redacted], for an asset protection trust with V.M. Baldwin as the trustee. The initial entity, Baldwin Productions and Communications, operated as a sole proprietorship with EIN 26-[redacted] when I lived at [redacted] Drew Avenue, High Point, NC [redacted]. The new EIN was to be sent to [redacted] South Academy Street, Cary, NC [redacted]. However, I did not receive the mail due to a mix-up in general delivery. I informed the IRS of my temporary address change to General Delivery, [redacted] East Main Street, Charlottesville, VA [redacted] but have not received any correspondence. Due to concerns of identity theft, I wish to cancel EIN 26-[redacted] for Baldwin Productions and Communications and any EIN for Royal Pathway. I have attempted to fax the IRS since January 14, [redacted], regarding these changes during the government shutdown without success. I have also canceled EINs for: - 90-[redacted] (The Valarie Baldwin Foundation, formerly The Divine Revelations Ministries, Inc.) - 90-[redacted] (Substance For Life, LLC) Contact information for these entities was [redacted] Springdale Heights Road, Troy, NC [redacted]. I am in the process of restructuring these entities with the help of a Church/Spiritual Leader or legal professional. If any further details are required, kindly reach out to me via email. Thank you for your time and help.

Hello everyone! Sending positive thoughts to those affected by furloughs. I am facing financial challenges due to lack of income and have dependents who need my support. While I can claim one dependent on my taxes, others require my assistance but cannot be claimed. I recently had to sell my home to resolve unexpected mortgage issues. Despite applying for government aid, I was denied due to my relationship with a dependent. I am seeking advice as I am unsure if I should file taxes this year given my financial situation. I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you.

My name is Mario Seer, and I want to share that on 14.01.[redacted], I sent a letter to the IRS in the United States via DHL Insured Shipping. My wife, Margarete Seer, and I are facing significant financial difficulties due to ongoing seizures by the city of Gummersbach. We are struggling to manage with only about [redacted] € left in our account and are worried about paying our rent and other expenses. Despite having corresponded with the city of Gummersbach and the GEZ, we are still under immense pressure. The recent garnishment I received has added to our worries. We fear losing our rented apartment and even our car due to these actions. We are reaching out for assistance to address this urgent situation. We appreciate any help that the IRS can provide. Best regards, Mario Seer Margarete Seer

Hello, I am Lucinda Guppy. I work for a nonprofit full-time and have recently taken on the role of volunteer treasurer for our local fire district. Last October, a donor contacted the nonprofit I work for to verify our nonprofit status, as our name had been accidentally removed from the website. Even though the IRS confirmed our standing, we experienced delays in updating the website. Similarly, our accountant mentioned that a few other nonprofits in our area faced the same issue. I suspect the Lakeview Heights Fire Protection District in Lincoln, MO, may have encountered a similar problem. I checked with the Secretary of State and obtained our charter number and EIN, but our district is not listed on the IRS site, causing us to miss out on grant opportunities. I kindly request written verification and to be reinstated on the IRS list to access necessary grants. Please reach out if you need further assistance at [redacted]. Thank you for your support! I am experiencing a complex issue with my ex-boyfriend regarding our tax filings this year. We had agreed to file separately, with me claiming the children, but he mistakenly filed as head of household and included me and the kids. This has caused significant problems for my soon-to-be ex-husband, who had already claimed our child on his taxes. My ex-boyfriend has not been forthcoming about the issue, and my soon-to-be ex-husband is now facing fines for something he was unaware of. I am planning to claim our youngest child on my taxes to prevent my ex-boyfriend from doing so incorrectly. This situation has left me feeling confused and unsure of how to proceed as I am new to filing taxes independently. I am seeking urgent assistance to rectify this matter promptly.

Hello, I received a [redacted]-R stating $[redacted] in box 1 and 2a. This amount represents money deducted from my paychecks by my employer and contributed to a now-discontinued teacher pension account in Illinois. The sum was returned to employees as a Retirement Excess Contribution Refund. I opted to transfer the refund to a new Roth IRA and understand I need to pay taxes on it. I'm uncertain where to report this on the [redacted] form. Initially, I considered line 4b, but after reviewing the instructions and publications [redacted] and [redacted], I'm unsure. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you, M. Data

I have a comment and concern that I couldn't find a way to contact the IRS about. It seems that the IRS needs to adhere to its own laws regarding scientology. In the past, you clearly stated that they do not qualify for tax-exempt status. However, due to pressure from scientology, you granted them that status. As part of the American government, you should not give in to such bullying tactics. It's disappointing to see the IRS allowing scientology to continue its harmful practices despite knowing they don't qualify for tax-exemption. This makes it easier for them to harm individuals and families, like children being subjected to abuse. By giving scientology tax-exempt status, you enable their misconduct by silencing their victims. It's unjust that you target middle-class Americans while failing to confront this issue. As Americans, we should uphold what is right, not what is convenient. It's disheartening to see the IRS ignore its own regulations and not stand up to a harmful organization like scientology.

I used Credit Karma for my taxes this year. Instead of e-filing, I printed and mailed my return as I usually do. I received an email saying my e-filing was rejected due to an incorrect AGI from last year. Since I don't have a cell phone for the verification code, I couldn't access my account to fix it. I preferred not to e-file again since I already mailed it. I'm unsure if my mailed return will also be rejected. If you can help me fix this, my AGI from last year was $[redacted]. If the mailed return will not be rejected, please ignore this message. Thank you, Arthur C. Henson.

In [redacted], my daughter lived with me until October when she turned 19 and had a baby in May. During her stay, she didn't work or pay any bills, and I provided for her and the baby. They were both on Medicaid using my name as she had no income. I claimed her on my taxes for the ten months she lived with me. I have proof of her residency with mail, my lease, bank statements, and Medicaid records. She did not claim her child, as she started working and filing her own taxes after moving out. I believe we might be flagged, and I need guidance on how to resolve this issue and whom to submit the proof of her dependence.

I am experiencing an issue where my taxes are being withheld, which was not supposed to happen. I need to speak with a representative to address this matter. Previously, I had a federal student loan in default amounting to $[redacted]. The account was closed and labeled as a charge-off around October or November. Upon contacting the debt collector for the account, I entered a rehabilitation program with the agreement that after 10 payments, I would no longer be in default. I have diligently made all payments as per the agreement. It was explicitly stated that my taxes would not be withheld due to my participation in the rehabilitation program. However, my entire refund was seized, putting me at risk of accumulating further debt as I had counted on the refund. Despite checking the automated system which showed no offsets linked to my social security number, my refund was unexpectedly offset after processing. I urgently need to make arrangements or set up a resolution as losing my entire tax refund is not sustainable for me.

While attempting to file my tax return this year, I have encountered issues with the "AGI" amount, as it does not match the one in the IRS database. Despite not having my previous year's tax transcript, I had a copy made by the tax office after filing. Moreover, when trying to create an online account on IRS.GOV, the site cannot authenticate my information after providing my Name, DOB, SSN, and last year's address used in the return. Last night, when I called the IRS automated service to request my previous year's tax return, it prompted for my old SSN and address, which are no longer current. I am feeling stuck and confused as each attempt to proceed has been unsuccessful. Any guidance on the correct steps to take next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

My adjusted gross income has been rejected repeatedly this year even when I entered 0. I am still unable to get my taxes accepted. I suspect the issue could be related to last year's taxes. I had assistance with filing from someone else last year and there was an error on my W-2 form. I received a corrected W-2 and submitted the information requested by the IRS. Unfortunately, it seems to have been lost in the mail, so I sent it a second time. However, I have not received any updates on last year's tax situation. Last year, I filed as married jointly, which may have been premature since my spouse and I are experiencing relationship difficulties. Although we are not divorced yet, I do not have any of her details and cannot reach her. Is there a way for me to refile both last year's and this year's taxes without requiring my spouse's information? I am willing to forego last year's refund if necessary - I just want to move forward with my life as usual. Thank you.

My husband moved to Canada, and when it came to filing taxes, I can't find his W-2 form or his [redacted]. When I asked him, he said he would check with the company he used to work for. However, instead of giving them my address, he gave them his address in Canada. Now, he won't answer my calls. I am considering filing alone, but I'm unsure if he plans to file separately while not being here. I am worried he might want to file with the children and leave me behind. Please help me; I'm not sure what to do. Thank you so much.

I am still receiving reminders about a [redacted] tax issue that was resolved on April 17, [redacted]. I paid $42,[redacted].48 to cover two tax liabilities with one check. Following that payment, I received lien releases for each tax year, a payment record confirming the balances were settled, a $[redacted].00 refund check, and a $[redacted].30 credit to my social security account. Previously, the IRS was deducting $2,[redacted].62 from my SS distributions, but these deductions stopped after April 25, [redacted]. I believe an error occurred with the April 18th check causing an overpayment which resulted in the refund. It's unclear why the lien was released if the [redacted] tax wasn't fully paid, why the deductions ceased, or why I received a refund whilst allegedly still owing for [redacted]. I urge the IRS to review all April correspondence, including the lien releases, payment records, refund details, and the refund to my SS account. They have all necessary data to resolve this and avoid unjustly placing a lien on my property. I appreciate your swift attention to this matter. - Robert D. Mitchell

I am really upset about a recent issue with my child support payment. On 12/18/[redacted], my child support was dismissed, and I have the paperwork showing a zero balance. I filed my taxes for the first time since [redacted], and now I am in urgent need of the money. When I called the offset number at 1-[redacted] and entered my information, it said I have no debts or offsets owed for my SSN. However, child support took $83 from my due refund, even after the dismissal. I am also expecting a larger refund of $2,[redacted] soon, and I don't want any deductions from it since I don't owe anything. There seems to be a mistake, and I just want the money that belongs to me.

I have a few questions regarding filing a joint return: 1. Are there no additional deductions/dependents for individuals aged 74 and 77? 2. Should line 4b be used for the total of distributions from both my wife's and my IRAs and 457s, even though the form and instructions do not specify this? 3. On line 16, do I enter the total taxes withheld from the distributions from our IRAs and 457s, as the form and instructions do not provide clear guidance on this? Also, is it correct that no detailed breakdown of the distributions or withholdings is required? Thank you.
